It isn't because she doesn't have to sing lower. When she got sick in Europe and had to cancel tour dates she had to switch things up a bit so she wouldn't permanently damage her voice. She pulls it off seemlessly and still a lot higher than any belting I've ever heard
This is just a small showcase show and they still had a big show that night. She probably didn't want to wear out her voice for their other show. And alot of 'alternative' bands play their songs in a lower key from concert pitch when they play acoustic so the songs still hold their power. But I think it's mostly Hayley trying not to wear out her voice right here. I mean I knew she had some trouble with her voice by not having enough vocalrest while sick and stuff like that. But even with her voice not rested enough she still pulled it off with added raspiness and squeals.. and I mean that in a good way.
Haha, bare footsies... Awesome person, awesome band. I enjoy listening to the realness of their live performances over recorded. Her voice gives me chills.
yeah! cant believe they just stood there and watched... u guys are sooo lucky, u have absolutely no idea. i would have had a sore throat from screamin and jammin wit them!!!!
MAN, if i was there I would have got up like she asked and danced and sung! haha, goodness. I would have wanted to make a good impression on paramore! So they would remember me!!!!
aha, sorry, I wrote that awkward, I meant like, she still can sing that high, but it's not safe to do it continuously, she probably doesn't even realise she does it because it's not that noticeable unless you pay attention. and yes, regardless, it's dang cool :P
an invitation to go stand with paramore while they are performing?! WHATS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?! I would have been up there in a heartbeat (givin that my heart doesnt completely stop at the idea) xD
If i was there i would do sooo much mess, jumping all the time, screaming out loud at every song.I'd slap everyone's face and i'd tell them all "WTF ARE YOU DOING?YOU WONT SEE THEM AGAIN SO CLOSLY"
wow, i think this video is amazing, thanks for uploading, i think it has to be one of my fave paramore videos. I hope they come to the UK again next year.
Jesus christ... It's not that you dont scream and shout. But that Hayley actually invited you guys to sing along with her and come on to stage and have a good and more close gig, and the crowd didn't deliver until she almost demanded it. This is was uofasoftballuvr9 referse to.
arghh, that crowd is pissing me off!! o_O I'd kill for chance to be on one of their shows. And even acoustic?? how can they just sit and not even move their heads to the rythm? .. hm at least they clapped :D
@aisexrock People seem to type this all the time, but really that's no different than going to a movie theater and talking along with the movie just cause you know the words, a lot of people tend to prefer to leave it t the artist/band to do their own performance, especially at live sessions like this, they may have even been asked to keep the audience noise level down, not to mention it really doesn't sound like there are THAT many people in the audience.
i wish i was there i would have taken the invite to be on stage with them and if by some coincidence and i brought my bass i would have played with them
They're quiet cause it's an acoustic performance. The focus is supposed to be on their music. It's not a huge arena. But yeah, I guess they could be at least a little more enthusiastic.
COME TO SINGAPORE PARAMORE!!! WE ARE A MUCH BETTER AUDIENCE!!! the least the crowd could do was do some headbanging or something if they don't know the words to the song... they are just standing there quietly like some dufus.. geez!
well of course the crowd was quiet. they're not in some concert arena. i'd just sit there and just enjoy her voice and their guitar work than make noise and drown it.
