My second ever solo Paramotor flight, having fully serviced my engine after it cut-out during my first/maiden flight! Click 'SHOW MORE' below for my post-flight analysis...
I am unsure of the altitude that I hit on this flight but I couldn't go any higher due to the cold, my hands were freezing...definitely bringing the gloves next time!
Enjoy, and lessons learnt from this flight are:
- I still hesitated on full-throttle for take-off, don't hesitate in future!
- Avoid the finger-throttle getting caught on the brake handles
- Don't cut the engine until far later, if at all - my engine has a gearbox so in reality I needn't cut it at all.
- Wear gloves when it's 3.5c!!
- If landing and still too high, perform some left/right turns to lose some altitude, but don't perform them too low.

Well done Sergent. I like your attitude to taking things slowly and not confusing your abilities with your expectations. Just start off with one or two S's when close to the ground until you gain more confidence and get to know your new wing better. Let it take time and it will come to you easier. Cheers.

Rob Roy thanks for your comments, really appreciate it. Taking this sport slowly seems to be the key so I'm sticking to it, but its great to finally be in the air after spending the 2-3 months prior just focusing on ground-handling! Thanks for your advice, and look out for flight 3 :)

+TONYPARAMOTOR Rob is entitled to his opinion, and its not fair for you to question his experience if you don't know him...chill out!

+JohnVH541, yeah definitely loving it but now looking to get a 24 size instead, so this wing is for sale, only 10hrs and immaculate condition if you're interested?

great stuff, Im in the process of finding a setup to fly, and am currently looking at a volution motor like yours.

JohnVH541, my advice would be to buy the wing first, I spent 2 months doing nothing but ground-handling training (2 instructor day lessons, the rest myself) before I even considered buying an engine or getting off the ground - this sport needs to be taken slowly, else you'll injure yourself - good luck and have fun, its a brilliant feeling on that first takeoff!

Sergeant gotcha, well, one thing led to another, and I have a whole setup, now I just have to find an instructor. Ive had my pilots license for 12 years, and Ive parachuted, so Im hoping it doesnt take 2mo, but I wont rush it. Thanks! Keep makings vids!

JohnVH541 Sounds good John, we've got very similar interests so I'll subscribe to you to watch your flying progress too! Get a go-pro for your helmet, one of the most useful tools that I have purchased so far for my paramotoring as I can analyse every aspect of my flying after landing, invaluable!

Sergeant Sounds good, I have a couple gopros I was figuring on putting on. Excited to start training!

JohnVH541, lucky you! I'm looking to buy another as they're awesome! For my helmet, I used a long arm which allows the camera to be level with the back of my head, yet still the risers are barely visible. I'd recommend getting a cage mount (handle-bar mount) and then attach the camera to the top of your cage, I just bought one and it'll be my next video's view perspective :)

Hi, Nice Vid. Can you please tell me what the speed range of the Roadster 2 wing is?...
@AshleyHall
@AshleyHall 9 лет назад
+Nathan K thanks for the comment! Be sure to see my latest Flight 10 video, its my favourite flight/edit so far! The R2 has a fairly wide range depending on wing and trim settings of course - maximum speed that I have hit was 60kph whilst flying down-wind - on a fairly still day, the wing seems to float along at a maximum 33kph, but of course using the speedbar (I haven't yet) would add around 6-10kph to that. Hope that this helps.
