I have never heard of you before nor seen your videos, but I came to this video to research Korach and Elishah. I must say this is such a beautiful lesson that I cried thru about half of the video. So glad to have heard this teaching. Thank you rabbi! Also, what is teshiva? Or did you say teshuva?
Im interested why you would research Korach and Elishah? Do you see a connection between theses two people? So happens I have written a book on Elisha and there is indeed a connection between Elisha and Korach. When Elisha is about to ascend to Mt Carmel a group of boys come out and mock him shouting: Go up baldy, go up baldy. The word for Baldly is Kerach which are the same letters as Korach. Kerach is also the ancient Finnish word for Bear. Elisha turned around and cursed the boys with the name of G-d and two she bears come out of the woods and the normal translation is that they tore to pieces the boys. But this is a wrong translation and it means to split or divide. They divided the group. There were 84 and when divided there were two groups of 42. if your interested in more about this story and its meaning let me know.
@@DovidShaw I watched a video from a Christian pastor about Korach and the similarities and differences to Elisha. I have tried to find the video again, but I didn't find it. If you are interested in his research, his name is Isaac and his RU-vid channel is called Assembly of Called Out Believers. One of the interesting points he mentioned is that these 2 men personally saw the destruction of family members - Korach with his entire family EXCEPT his sons; and Elisha, who personally had to slay his sons. If Korach means 'purity', perhaps Korach let his elevated status go to his head, and perhaps the sons of Elisha thought they would never attain the level of holiness/baldness of their father, so could it be the 'strange fire' was their attempt to sort of 'one up' their father?
Rabbi I have a doubt I heard that Messiah Should appear before Hebrew year 6000 can you please clarify me about this in detail and after 6000 hebrew year what will happen
Each millenia represents 1 day in Hashem's "time". Meaning: 0-1000 is like Sunday, 1001-2000 is like Monday, etc. So the year 6000 would be the equivalent of midnight of Friday. But Shabbat comes in on Friday eve which would be in the late years of 5000. We're currently in 5782 which is the eve of Shabbat.
