She translated that exceptionally well since ".. 속으로 되게 기뻣습니다 .." is a very korean expression to evoke humility but when directly translated, it comes off as insecure and narcissistic. The translator maneuvered that cultural nuance exceptionally well and conveyed Bong's attitude, statement, and mood brilliantly. She's by far the best translator i've seen.

@@colinfoo2856 interpreters usually take notes actually. Only a few can depend on memory alone but the right thing is to write down notes to fall back on in case your memory fails you.

You are correct about that, but given the narrow time span to translate it wasn't that bad.

No, actually you're wrong. He was saying how he felt like he was spying on them with intention even though that's not what he actually wanted to do. If you think about it, at first you _do_ only peep into their private lives, but slowly you get curious and might deliberately listen carefully to the family's secret conversations even though your whole purpose there is to be a tutor and that is not what you initially intended on doing. Therefore, her interpretation is spot on and everyone got what Mr Bong meant but you're just trying to pick out flaws on someone who's exceptionally talented and efficient at her job.
