Ah, my favourite song off HTH. It's also the one I've had the most problems with. The 3 guitars on the original recording blend together so much that it makes it difficult to pick out individual tones for the EQ process. The massive reverb on the track makes it even worse. I shall keep trying though.
Craig simms, I understand you man. I hope you can record Comin 'Home and equalize it right away. Because you can make a sound very close to Kiss I'm very much your fan and wish you all the best! I always look forward to new covers of Kiss songs! Craig, I'm very much a fan of Kiss and I kind of sing, and I download their covers to put on the Instrumental Albums playlist I have for Kiss. All right ?
Nice as always!... Craig, I've just noticed Riffstation is gone, any suggestion to get another similar app or software?.. Thnks in advance for any comment! Peace
I actually have no idea. I usually work on 3 or 4 at a time. The guitar and bass parts are usually done in a few takes but the drums and post EQ process are the real time consumers. My older videos were done in a relatively short period compared to my more recent ones, which I put more detail into now. RARAN was done and completed in less than 4 hrs but I that definitely isn't the norm. I don't mind spending the time because I actually learn a lot through the process. My ear has evolved tremendously since making these videos and I really love figuring out what make these classic tracks come to life.
Love all your videos, especially the old Kiss songs. I am trying my hand at home recording as well but struggle with making drum tracks since I am a guitar player. Your drum tracks sound great. What is your approach? Do you import midi files and try to enhance or start from scratch? Thanks, Arlyn
