Great video Chris I had the old pard and couldn’t get on with it , but following your review of the Pard S I have purchased one and have to say I lot better model and feels comfortable behind my scope will definitely be buying another mount so I can put on the rimfire too.
Enjoyed the review ,I just purchased the S model to replace my sightmark wraith,I'm hunting mainly red and fallow deer on the Westcoast on New Zealand , we will see how it handles the wet weather over here .I
@@zippyzip5481 Hi mate , for the cost I have found it to be very good value for money. I can throw it in my day bag and hunt through dust and into the night if I wish . I can see deer clearly out to three hundred metres or so which as far as I will shoot in darkness . I love the fact that I can plug and play onto my hunting scope with no changes required. It is compact and simple enough to use . I have been using a sightmark wraith and find the Pard 007S has a better field of view and is much lighter , clips on in a second . I would recommend it . I prefer it to the thermal sights .
@@percy93078 gidday mate just wondering is that 300m with the built in IR or is that with an external torch? Also looking at using it on fallow and reds, I'm up in Manawatu
@@tcw95NZ Hi Thomas ,I'm able to pick up eye shine with no worries with deer at 300m with the built in unit , with good focus and some clear weather you can easily identify the target animal any further out you will need a more powerful IR lamp , I use a nightsnipe NS750 . Where it gets challenging is in and fog or drizzle , then the image starts to deteriorate rapidly over distance I.e greater than around 130m or so .
Hi Chris. Although the set up used your scope Zero. The unit still has to have its centre adjusted in the zero settings to centralise. This is in the menu and if not done the unit will be off with the scope. That’s the reason the tape idea was pretty useless. Every time the unit was taken off and reinstalled it would be out on the impact. Simple to do takes 30 seconds but imperative to accuracy. 👍
Fantastic review. Thanks. I use a Pulsar F455 on the same NX8 scope. Not overly impressed with the F455 to be honest - very sensitive to the Wicked Lights IR, moderate image quality and fairly heavy. The Pard appears to be better on all those fronts and costs half the amount. Would you agree assuming you have used the F455? Thanks.
I have a FFP veyron scope without an illuminated reticle and I find it very difficult to see against darker backgrounds. Would the Pard S improve that.
Can I use this night vision for a spotting wildlife without attaching to a scope it will work as a zero mag ? As I would compare to a naked eye 👁️ view?
Yes, you can use it as a monocular/standalone spotter without attaching to a rifle scope. In low light -early morning/late evening and even during night with the integrated ir torch you will be able to safely identify wildlife - deer/boar within roughly 100meters. Depending if you get 850 version it will give you more range, 940 will give you less range.
I'm in the same boat, my scope is 40mm too and have it secured with some thickish cardboard and electrical tape. Glad to see PARD now do some adapers for it to enableit t fit better.
Great video. Nice bits of kit the pards. The 007s is waterproof if I remember correctly. Where the007a isn’t. I found the the 007A will get through batteries a lot faster with the built in ir and yes that a understandable but the external ir is the best way to get long sessions. I too have the PB-irL and it’s fitted to a sub12 M3. Great setup.
@@robertmitchell9415 why? Because I wanted a proper ir torch to give me the clarity that I wanted. I found that built in ir wasn’t good enough and was giving me grainy footage. Works fantastic for me and after all isn’t that all that matters
@@robertmitchell9415 doubt you do but I can take a rabbit at70 yards comfortably with my little sub12. Trust me if I could convince the boss to let me get my fac I would have a higher power air rifle and a nice centre fire too. Just can’t convince her.
@@eoinwestman6222 Hats off to you sir! Regular 70 yard shots with a sub 12 airgun is impressive shooting, I don't bother much beyond 50 yards with my Fac Crown, wind and holdover generally makes me reach for something that makes life easier. Go for your fac and sneak the new guns in covertly 😉
You will need the adapter to be able to fit it to the scope, also, you will then no longer be able to adjust your scope if it has a rear adjustable dial.
940.....as 850 ir light is seen by predators, wild boars and so no. 940 is invisible. If you wanna use it for rats and other pests then 850 is good enough.
I have a 007s want 2nd adaptor and anothercomplete with 2nd adaptor cant find where i order mine from said on undetermined back order any help for someone i can contact thanks .ps i love the one i have .iam in usa texas
Yes pard are good I have 007...A....but no comparison to my good old Pulsar Digex...C50 is even better...l use pard for rats and if I fancy taking another rifle out.........if I were new to NV I would just buy Pard.....and use the saved budget to buy a decent Thermal spotter
Putin !! Tirer sur un renard ??!! Débile profond !!😡😡 J'adore les armes , la vision nocturne est vraiment sympas, mais tuer un renard bon sang !!! Quel gâchis....
