The song is basically shown as a performance at a late night eatery which is probably there on the high ways and the song seems to be relatable to the aamir and karishma's situation where karishma was a traveller and now she leaves with her dad for her city hence the 'pardesi jana nahi'( o foreigner don't leave me and go).

Despite rooting for most if not all of Aamir Khan's films; this one isn't something I would rewatch. Although it does have great songs and of course the actors do their part really well, it's the story that doesn't work for me.
