the most unrealistic thing about this comic is that, since phoenix is canonically a weakling. I would even venture as far as to say his fake character isn't even the weirdest person in the ace attorney universe.
@@brodimations4388 well yeah i don't remember from what but I'm pretty sure Maya is quoting and copying the movements of a different character in something else.
@@Zelapher Phoenix can bust down doors, fall off a bridge and only get a bad cold, and get hit by a car and walk away with a sprained ankle, and you're calling him a weakling?
Based on the banner around her labeled “Maya’s teacher”, I can only assume that’s Maya’s BFF who ALSO got dragged into the joke, there was NEVER a parent-teacher conference and Maya just thought it’d be funny to force these two into a dumb scheme and see who breaks first.
You know that everyone who saw him that evening probably immediately recognized him as Phoenix Wright… solely because of his iconic spiky hair. Actually that’s probably why he has that dumbass hat.
At this point I can’t tell how much is Phoenix messing with the teacher and how much is him thinking that’s how normal people act considering the shit he has to deal with in his law career.
Keep in mind that this comic is set in the OG Trilogy time period, before Phoenix adopted Trucy. (And yes, I am aware Trucy is Pearl's age, but whatever. The point is that Phoenix was dragged into doing dad things before adopting Trucy.)
@@erwannthietart3602 Pheonix met Maya after Mia died when she was 17. Because her mother was missing, I'm guessing her legal guardian was her aunt, Morgan. Morgan was then charged with homicide in JfA in which Maya was 18 and legally an adult and so Pheonix wouldn't be able to take custody of her. I guess Pheonix could've been her temporary guardian.
@@lacabraasada2326 if you want to mesh localization AUs, the age of majority in Japan is 20. But it also seems like there are more people in Kurain who can be legal guardians for the Fey children, as Pearl continues living there and is cared for after Morgan. Either extended family or just members of their established organization and community. I also don’t think Mia was Maya’s guardian, pretty sure they didn’t live together. But minors living alone is apparently a viable option in Japan as well. In Japan you also don’t have to go to high school (Larry mentions several times he graduated from junior high) so as far as I can tell there’s some vagueness around that as well, since it’s possible for a high school age person to be done with school and working. My point being, I don’t think Phoenix would have been considered as a legal guardian for Maya at any point. They didn’t even meet until after Mia was dead, after all.
