"Do you know why I am having sex with machinery?" - I remember being in the cinema and like everyone else I was laughing all the way through this scene, until I heard that line. Then I felt immensely dad.
Dianne Wiest stole this movie for me. Hilarious but familiar and painful family situations, the mum having to sacrifice her life to raise the children. The crazy thing is, the children's pain comes from the mother's pain, and the kids would love nothing more than to know their mom was happy.
Haha I loved it when the daughter walked off and said at least someone having sex in this something that doesn't require batteries....and then the best part comes she gets up and yells hahaaa
I remember this scene and when the Mother got mad I jumped, I was like oh shit here we go shit's about the hit the fan. In the late 80's long before cell phones with cameras existed, and having to take the picture prints done at a photography store, it was a very good thing social media hadn't been invented back then otherwise if her Mom would've seen the sex pictures on social media she would've flipped out even more on her Daughter.
Back when you could walk into a Kmart, go to the pictures area and look through the box to see if you see anyone’s name you know.. if you do you could take the envelope of their pictures and look at them lol
Do I want to know why you have sex with machinery? My god. The shiver that just went through my whole body at the thought of my mother saying those words to me. The horror........the horror.
She was probably expecting pictures from her promotion at the bank, but she picked up the wrong batch. I bet that happens a lot, when batches of pictures sometimes get mixed up.
