Very thought provoking. My parents struggled greatly just to survive. They were children of the Great Depression and World War II. They were brought up in the Roman Catholic Church and never questioned the dogma they had imbibed. Obviously since they were commanded by the RCC to pass on the dogma, they did.

I love the example she gave on Iraq war. Now Gaza's war. The leaders this time aren't sacrificing american lives but sacrificing the well being of the American lives. Ppl are living on average while the government's spending billions somewhere else. I love how she said this world is bullshit. Cause unaware ppl will always need a raw model.

yes, parents are repeating destructive patterns. Also, we feel inadequate. At the same time, children need real world skills, a moral compass and ability to adapt to the world and roles

It would be wonderful if somewhere in the notes, the woman who introduces this is identified. Thinking about being our authentic selves, depending on the country in which we live and the government in power, this is easier or more difficult. Only in recent years have many of us been exposed to people who do not believe in the god or gods that the majority believe in. Only in recent years have we been exposed to people who are willing to say that the god or gods worshiped today are no more real than the gods worshiped in the past. Jesus being no more a god than Zeus. Or Allah being no more a god than Isis. Depending on where we live, we can be executed, beheaded, stoned, shunned. Quite a challenge to be authentic.
