What’s really crazy about police officers a couple things I shouldn’t be a cop but I definitely could become one. There’s a reason why in the UK it’s like a two-year class before. You can even become a cop in the US you go to school for six months, in the United States if you get caught doing something illegal and you’re not arrested and you happen to be a police officer instead of getting fired you get to retire, and then let’s say you get fired/retired from some police unit. You’re allowed to go to some other town or state and become a cop there it’s wild so you were caught as a police officer doing something frowned upon you would be allowed to leave your station and go work at another station. It’s the craziest thing because in America if you shoot somebody with a gun and you go to jail, you’re not allowed to have guns anymore, but if you’re a cop and you get caught doing something illegal not only do you not get in trouble but you’re also allowed to continue being a cop elsewhere. It’s fucking crazy.

Trust me, you don't want anything to be "automatic guilt" other than murders in public with a lot of varried witnesses or internal injuries on a child with dna of another present.(I just really hate typing the phrase) For example in argument of a different situation. They could have someone in the back of the vehicle, the body cam was running out of hd space so they turned off the camera. Also they can play the body cam in court and ask the officer why he turned off the camera then bring out the victim and ask what the officer did after he turned off the body cam(after about 10 questions of foundation questions such as did you see the officer reach for his body cam after being handcuffed in a vehicle) Sometimes asking "why hide the information" doesn't net you the answer you want. For example the officer could say he thought the camera was on in the squad car so the body cam didn't matter and was saving batteries. I would bet most departments would have at least one memo about saving energy because of the bean counters.

Their is a delay on audio on body cams btw so not always are they muted. I don’t think it can be muted it has to be stopped to cancel audio recording. Also the only editing of body cams isn’t with the original footage. These RU-vid sites edit them and often it’s to prevent fixing. The original body can footage is unedited until it is acquired by someone who can then edit it the originals are always kept in full. Weather or not it’s turned off or on when it shouldn’t be is a different story all together. Check your facts do some research before making accusations about things you don’t know fully about. That shit is what can get innocent people hurt

Lucky I was lived with a kind and good cop town, When I was 13 a cop even drove me to school when I missed a bus about 6 in the morning. But during that time, A cop basically running a country rampant with corruption and military all 3 branch didn't like it, and they decide to abolished qualified immunity and pressure the senate to pass a new law to double the sentence for military and police if found guilty. And FYI we still have death penalty, So if police dealing drugs, It's not life sentence, It's death sentence since it's double.

That officer is known as a pos, not too surprising kids tried pranking him. Punching a handcuffed minor in the face has its own karmic consequences beyond just losing your job. My father was an abusive alcoholic, hit my mother on more than one occasion putting her in the hospital on one occasion, and if my mother called police, the Chicago police would show up, take him away, and give him a tune up now and then, which, he deserved, and I don't fault them at all. IMO, the kid got the "discipline" that he wasn't getting at home, where he should have been that night, but his parents apparently having "free range"children" don't care until a possible pay day rears it's head.
