Bits. Definitely Megabits. Also, yeah, really loving those bit-crushed lyrics. Even though it'd be impossible to fit it all on the cartridge. xD

Alright, so I'm gonna have to call up the Sega Offices, I'm going to get you into their team. Undoubtedly, they have to put this in Sonic Mania or Classic Sonic's Park Avenue Stage.

This is really good. I can guess getting the vocals as clean as possible was a difficult process.

Actually it's not as hard as one might think. The latest version of audacity has a built-in vocal isolater. Some of the background music can be heard if you listen really closely, but all in all the genesis instruments mask it out. Actually the hard thing was switching between two versions of Audacity just so my bit crusher could work on the vocals.

You actually don't need a bit crusher for the audio. The genesis is capable of outputting about 28KHz audio and that's only limited by the sound hardware's clock speed. Now one real limitation would be Playing the vocals and the drums at the same time (although still possible)

Now I know what's going on! Seems that my remix has been added to a playlist containing the classic sonic music from Sonic Forces. Say something @Ultragamer54, you fake hedgehog! Seriously though, thanks for all the exposure you've given my remix ^^

Well I mean, they're kinda the entire point of the song. It's what makes the track so memorable, so it's kinda a crime to no keep them in :P

A sonic 3 mega drive sound chip was used. That basically used a voice for the sampling. Take launch base zone.

Thanks! I rendered out the genesis instruments in FLStudio first, then used Audacity to isolate the vocals and bitcrush them to something like they'd sound on a Genesis.

I used a bit crusher plugin for Audacity. Basically I rendered out the base track in FL Studio, ripped the vocals from the original music in Audacity, bit crushed them, then combined them together.

I don't think so, but the Genesis was indeed capable of supporting them. I mean, you have fairly clear voice samples for Dynamite Heady and even the Sega Logo in any Sonic Game so if you had enough memory i don't see why you can't have vocals for songs.

I’m not sure that the vocal compression can do all this much on a Genesis soundtrack. However I know some Sonic 3 songs repeat GO and COME ON in the background.

I AM PRETTY SURE THE GENESIS ISNT THAT POWERFUL AND WOULDNT HAVE ENOUGH STORAGE FOR EVEN THIS MUSIC, AND A 2D PARK AVENUE ACT 1 FOR ALL 3 CHARACTERS WITH DIFFERENT ABILITIES AND ALTERNATE PATHWAYS.

Actually it could, you'd be surprised just what neat tricks the Yamaha YM2612 has that allow for more complex music. As far as stages in their present form on the genesis, no one was even suggesting that's likely. Also, no need to shout, I can hear you just fine ;)
