Parker 99R DE Razor □ Proraso Sandlewood Shaving Soap □

I have been shaving for over 30 years, but I have been doing it wrong for over 30 years. I have learned a lot from watching your videos....so thank you sir! The biggest tip that you give in every video is "No Pressure"....I have been using that tip for every shave, but wasn't sure I was really using no pressure until yesterday's shave. I just got a slant razor and have seen plenty of other peoples videos where they cut themselves with a slant....I know I got my technique down watching your videos because I had the best shave of my life with a razor most people consider aggressive and was nick and irritation free! Hey Paul, good week here so far, nice and cool today. I used my Parker 96R paired with the Treet King Platinum. A lavender based shave for me. TOBS Lavender and Bella Vita Lavender Aftershave. It's always great to sit down with my Sunday morning coffee and join you for a shave Paul, a perfect way to ease into the day. Feather blade is superb.) Slices like a knife through butter.) Sometimes scratches the skin)). Also, Proraso Red is always do it's job exellent. Nice, rich lather. I almost could smell the sandalwood.) Very beautiful bottle of sandlewood aftershave. It looks very respectable. Thanks to you, I know about marrowfat peas. And of course a thumbs up for the orange gerbera.

Good shave Mr Paul...I have two TTO Parkers,but not that one..I do have that soap...still unopened...but will be now...never used a feather...I cut my self buttering bread...I can smell The flowers from here...I can smell those chicken wings too...lol...How long before 007 gets flowers...lol..I'm sorry did I violate protocol...lol......Your full of surprises Paul....you wear many Hats well...till your next shave or new adventure...Cheers !

I will finally know!!! I have the Proraso Sandlewood Shaving Soap arriving within the next couple of days and will no longer have to imagine how it smells and feels. Thanks for the "preview" of what I can look forward to experiencing. Wheeeeeeeeeeee... :D

If I had to only use one soap for the rest of my life, it would be sandalwood, PAA Sandalwood to be specific, second would be this one Paul is using. A Feather in a Muhle R89 is magic...just like butter. After almost a year and a half of DE shaving, I finally found that magical angle for my neck to get bbs, diagonally.

Good to see a sandalwood shave, sandalwood scents are some of my favourites. Proraso and TOBS make great products so you have good taste. That aftershave I was telling you about. Parker 99R was my first razor I used when I got back intoDE shaving with green proraso shaving soap and Astra blade vulfix grovsner badger and boar shaving brush some dislike the Parker but I think it's a great value razor that shaves well . Very much enjoying your videos Paul, very upbeat. I've just made the switch to safety razors myself, my first being a Weishi 9306F and found the Feather blades a bit 'bitey' for my liking. Proraso Red is on my list to try, and I'm a fan of Sandalwood as well, though I went with The Art of Shaving's version. Tried the Prosraso Green, however, and I have to agree that they make a great product at an affordable price. Subscribed- all the best from Winnipeg.

Paul - I have the argument about cost of shaving supplies all the time with friends. My feeling is that they think nothing of going to eat out in a restaurant and spend $20 to $30 per person (£11 to £15), knowing that the food will be flushed down the toilet the next day, yet they wouldn't spend it on supplies that will possibly last years! Men should think about that when they can't decide whether to spend extra on a razor. You should also explain that viewers need not fast forward or skip your videos. All that need be done is increase the speed to 1.5x ot 2x at certain parts. You should try it @ the 8:00 mark. At 1.5x speed, you become the "serious shaver with no time for tomfoolery" when watching at a faster speed! Your voice sounds so stern! If you use the half speed (.5) setting @ 22:45, it sounds like a PaulHFilms shave after a few shots of Chivas Regal! Once again a great shave enhanced by the wonderfully absurd RU-vid closed captioning. Imagine what those who rely on CC are thinking after following along: i.imgur.com/6OrBhE3.jpg

Would like to see you use the green Proraso tub or tube, or even the C.O. Bigelow tube, which is really green Proraso, made for a New York pharmacy. Great flowers as usual. Have not tried a Parker razor, as my only butterfly razor is a Micro Touch One. It's doors get stuck shut, and I have to use a gadget for opening jar lids to remedy that problem.

great shave Paul. love the prosaso items I just used the menthol one myself. a quick question where do you stand on using shavettes or straight razors. I was using a shavette for the past few shaves but today went back to the good old EJ DE89, enjoy it a lot more.

Another awesome video Mr. Hughes and thank you for helping me determine what I will shave with tomorrow, the Proraso Red with TOBS Sandalwood. A great combination, thanks - and do you have the TOBS Sandalwood shave cream in your collection? I think that maybe some of those small nicks on your upper lip could be due to the Feather blade. I "condition" a new Feather by dragging it lightly over a cork otherwise I tend to find it over sharp, if that makes sense. Thanks heaps as usual Paul. Sandalwood times ahead :)

Good video as usual Paul however I am curious as to why your brushes are not hanging ,I thought it was a no no to have them standing bristles up.

Paul in that you are using a Parker razor , which is made in India, I wondered if you have ever used Godrej shave soap ? I have many of the better known soaps, crèmes - more expensive ones. There are many out there that are not well known but superb from countries we don't usually think of, like Macedonia, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria that are great and cheap.

Oh my Goodness! Maggard Razors (www.maggardrazor.com) was amazing. I have never seen so many shaving aids and soaps. Wife and I had a great time. We even picked up some Christmas presents for our two boys. We bought them each a Parker 29L and supplies to get started, We will see how that goes over at Christmas time. Great video! Thanks for your consistency, you are very reliable. It's so nice.

Do you recommend on the PARKER 99R ?? It is better to use blades with a gentle and aggressive as Derby or blades as ASTRA ???

Amazing Videos. Y have been shaving with DE Razor for about 2 years now and I love it. I also shave my head with DE razors. I just don't seem to be able to find the right blade for my head. Any suggestions?
