people are so amazed by what is essentially a raspberry Pi with a couple servos and switches attached. This is literally a weekend project to make those mods, which is probably why they are being so secretive about it, so they can sell it at a huge markup.

It's like a dredge but not a dredge. It has the inner workings of a dredge but not able to self load. That being said, I believe something like that would work well on dredging ground. Maybe Parker should sell the idea to Tony Beets as he has run dredges in the past

It's just another wash plant on floats, everything is run with a pad now, and I personally do not like any placer equipment that you have to feed with an excavator, by the way mining engineer with 40 plus years in the industry, seen pretty much every piece of home designed equipment out there, some good some bad

Good to hear Fred Lewis is gone, him and his kid wanted to be movie stars. I have been a faithful fan of the show enjoyed watching Parker grow up and accomplished the things he’s done most of Parker crew are or seem to be good hard working people. I wish this show would have been around 25 years ago, I would have been up there working for one of the miners ( quite sure ). Freddy and Juan are still my favorite personalities around the gold rush groups.

I have heard nothing about season 14 and what is going on there, but when you say Fred Lewis is gone than that's good to hear because it was always a pain in the ass to watch them, because they only talk big day in day out but don't know a sh*t about they are doing and then Buzz Lego always drunk or high with his rotten teeth, was all just terrible to watch. Just wannabe miners with no clue, working with trash machinery on land that has no gold or their washplant is just loosing 80% of it. Could you tell me maybe where Parker is mining in season 14? Because Indian River is done and Fairbanks Alaska didn't look very well for future operations, just completely different landscape. In Germany I will have to wait till April until they show it.

I don't mean to take away from the design, engineering, time and everything that's gone into this "most advanced floating wash plant" but it's quite literally the same thing as a dredge but less capable since it doesn't have the mining equipment. Sure the concept is different being loaded with a loader or excavator but that's just a more complicated dredge as logistics have to be more thorough for efficacy of this operation. Since it has to have a pond it can navigate but also have a berm to load from, then needs further excavated for expansion. It honestly seems like it'd have been more efficient to tie this concept into an existing dredge platform and just adding another hopper for ground loading as well...

Well not really cause even Parker has had claims that at times produce really good numbers per yard an terrible ones as well you never know what you could have an who could see it. Some places have claim jumpers or try shut you down so they can access your claim why you can’t be there operating. Pretty much saving his company by not showing that an wasn’t keen to put Parker in touch with the builder of that dredge was happy to sell it an only had it 6 months either having to many problems or not on good ground then to transport it to another claim somewhere probably easier to sell it and have them pay for that build another one or go a different way

The purpose of being in a pond is to have its own water for sluicing instead of pumping it all over. So you run a strip, drain it, check for gravel pockets, reflood it. Any pay pockets, dump the gravel by the sluice and then refloat it, scoop it up.

the big problem in alaska yukon is making sure the pay dirt is thawed completely before putting it into the wash plant and that is a challenging problem with a floater style plant. they did it in the old days in the yukon/alaska but it will take a team of people that will have to specialize in thawing the ground ahead of the working floater plant that is always working ground that is underwater and very cold water. they could use the cold water thawing points method that have high pressure cold water injected in to a chisel point thawing as you rotate it down in to the frozen gravels but it is a longterm type operation a full season ahead of the floater dredge that would excavate and process the hopefully thawed material but it is a tough expensive slow job. this is why the miners in the yukon/alaska work like they do as it is proven and a set up can be moved to better locations easier if need be than other methods. there have been floaters up there for 40 plus years that work well in certain situations only. i got to see 87 pup mined by tony as i had staked that ground around 1994 when it was forfeited by the regional mining recorder but i never recorded it as after inspecting the area as it was too big a undertaking for us back then. it looked like he got some results out of it🤗

water is 800x as dense as air so there is much more heat transfer. You probably wouldn't need to heat the water to thaw the permafrost. The water would simply get a little colder, as long as the air stays above freezing the thermal mass will take care of it.
