I passed my driving test today in my 4th attempt. I want to thank you for all the videos you've put in this channel. It really helped. Fun fact I never had an instructor nor did I learn driving a manual from a person. I literally learned how to drive a manual and all the things I should know about driving from RU-vid videos. To the ones who haven't passed yet, believe in yourself and be confident, you will definitely make it!
I am an experienced driver right now, I just came here to listen Chris’s voice, it’s so calming and attractive. There must be something wrong with me, 😂 😛
I'm not sure how often you're supposed to check the right blind spot in reversing maneuvers. Is it only before each step/when you stop, or should you be looking over the right shoulder while reversing too?

I've been making a few mistakes with parallel parking since I passed driving test, but I've gotten better with my car. Do you think this manoeuvre is going to get easier on driving tests when most cars get reversing cameras in future Chris?
Can you get a fault on your test if you don't physically turn your head to look in the rear window behind you/check the blind spots during this maneuver, even if you're constantly checking the front window and in the rear mirror as well as the side mirror?
You must check the rear window before reversing and before the first turn to the left. Then all round checks, especially over your left shoulder through the rear window (not the interior mirror).
@@worlddriving Thank you for all that you do. Very few people nowadays care. Are you here in UK? My family and I just came here. Hope we could do a video together. Thanks
That’s because in real life you have to do it inbetween two cars lol and there’s not much space most of the time unlike on lessons you could fit a whole semi in there lol
I've had to use the parallel park method to get out of my own driveway when someone parks behind my vehicle. Happens enough i have learned to leave space in front of my vehicle to pull forward so i can maneuver around said vehicle backing out. Oddly enough it's really the only time i have to parallel park is in my driveway which is big enough to park 6 vehicles which only then i can't get out unless i move that persons vehicle from behind mine. To clarify it's mostly people who trust me with moving there vehicle. Ordinarily you would think it would be the owner would be moving it but my mother is a nail tech and it's generally her clients who know me.
Follows your channel from long time & you are one of the absolute best online tutors out there. I've a question though sometimes when I need to go over a speed breaker of normal size, I slow down my vehicle to reach there then put it in 1st gear & release the clutch slowly to go over it smoothly. Although it works fine with no jerks to car & passengers but I've an 800cc petrol car which struggles to engage 1st gear specially at slower speeds. If I just press the brake pedal to slow down the car to required speed then release it before reaching to breaker & go over it in gears preset speed then it's right or wrong. I know brakes can make front of vehicle lower that's why it's a confusing issue for me. If you can help here then it'd be awesome.
Normally you'd have to drive very slowly for the car to allow you to select 1st gear. Have you tried driving over them in 2nd? Slow down before, select the gear then drive over them 👍
On another video, instructor instructed that the parked vehicle on the left its front must be in middle with passenger pillar, then on this vid its at the back sit pillar. Which one is best?
This video is for parking in a very tight gap. But on your driving test you can line up the front or rear of the other car with your passenger door pillar and turn.
