I know this is a joke but the original was actually in Chinese so when it was translated to English, the 3 original Chinese words increased to 6 English words
You don't need to learn how to parallel park in Boston because the car spaces are so close together that people actually buy bumper guards on the front and rear of your car so you can push the car behind you or in front of you so you can get out and there won't be any damage on your car.
Do a 6-point check (check blind spots and mirrors) when lined up next to the car. Do one full turn with your wheel to the right before moving. Once you start, gradually move it to the right more until your side mirror reaches the license plate. Then stop and turn your wheel all the way to the left, then keep moving. Then straighten your car as you see fit.
Landmarks can change depending on the size of your car... For example if you have a long station wagon you may need to stop behind of the other car's mirror... Just find what is better with your car
First stop about 30cm parallel with the front car . 2 . Reverse ur car until the triangle window about the front car tail ( Most cars have them in the back windows ) . 3. Turn the steering all the way to the right , then reverse . 4 . Once ur right mirror just about the tail of the front car . Stop , then turn the steering wheel all the way 2 the left , reverse the car , look right mirror until the right back wheel about +30 cm from the kerb . Done , keep the steering wheel in same position , that u won't need reverse or move forward ur car when u leave the parking lot . * Important note = The car needs " STOP " properly between each step . Other way U would park 2 far or the right back wheel wiil hit the kerb . The distance between ur car and the front car in the beginning is also caused u problems if u not take correctly . Success or not dependent 2 the experience and confidence . Take easy . Good luck
You don’t know how to parallel park and you’re trying to show others how to do it? 1) right turn signal as you approach the parking spot. 2) Make sure the spot is bigger than your vehicle 3) Stop with your back bumper to the back bumper of the car that will be parked infront 4) Turn steering wheel all the way to the right 5) Start backing up slowly 6) When the drivers side bumper goes past the drivers side headlight straighten the steering wheel 7) When the front bumper clears the bumper of the car infront turn steering wheel to the left. 8) Pull forward to equal distance between from and back cars.
He calls the mirrors “ears”. 🙄. What if the “car” in the front is actually a big 😢long bed truck and I am driving a small compact car with a much shorter length? Pulling up to line up my little car’s “ears 🙄” with the big truck’s “ears 🙄” and then turning my steering wheel right and reversing will only result in my rear-ending the side of the truck and damaging both vehicles. It doesn’t take a math genius to see that this formula doesn’t always work. Use your head and PRACTICE parallel parking. First before anything, always have a solid knowledge and understanding of how long and how wide your own vehicle is, and be able to take an educated guess based on that whether the parking space will accommodate your vehicle, allowing for enough room to spare for entry and exit of both the car into and out of the space as well as being able to comfortably and safely open all doors well when parked before you try to squeeze into a space between other vehicles or any other parking space. Second, it’s better to instead line up the middle of your vehicle with the rear bumper of the front vehicle and then turn right and back in and do the next steps he mentioned. This way, you don’t need to consider the length of the front vehicle.
You can't give parking and steering advices if you cross your arms like that while steering.. Just look where your hands end up after every steering maneuver.. Ridiculous.
Will be fun when they try this advice with a hatchback.. Will be parking directly on the rear of the Car on your side. If the Car length is different this idea may not work.
This is not a good advice lol. This parking space has too much space so it's not hard even if you make mistakes. First thing you should do is allign your rear end of the car, not the front.
Except on most cars you can’t see the door handles in your mirror because they’re either flush with or embedded into the door behind the exterior surface. They don’t stick out like on this guy’s car.
