They see us as a nation that used to be great. They are shaking their heads in horror and saying thank God I don't Iive in the US. Schoolkids don't live in fear of being shot and they don't have fancy security systems. Americans like to scream "guns don't kill, people do" but honesty, all Europeans know that's just a smokescreen crap argument. The laws here are extremely stringent and its so hard to get a gun, even a hunting rifle. If you want a gun you must undergo a strict psychological examination. We live in safety because of that. There are shootings but it's an extremely rare occurrence. I've also lived in Japan, a country with little crime and almost zero gun violence outside the Japanese mafia. I have to say it's an amazing thing to live in a country with little to no gun violence. It makes you never want to live in the US again.

This young man is so courageous. God bless him. He is going to be able to help a lot of people in his profession. This country could certainly use more men like him. I am so sorry for the hell he experienced here on earth. The shooter deserves no sympathy from the jury

he was an amazing witness. it’s unfortunate he and everyone else had to go through that, but he’s helping more than he could know.

He ran even with his ankle blown off!? That’s insane, I can’t even stub my toe without rolling around on the floors. Props to this man big time!

Whoa! The fact that this young man went through all this as a child, and then decided to become a paramedic, is truly incredible.

Poor kiddo. It’s obvious he’s struggling talking about it. He was brave to escape and with a shattered ankle. Bless him. Such a tragic and sad event for all the victims and their families 💔🙏🏼😔

I mean I would be nervous too. Look at all those people their in the court room. My voice would be so shaky. I got social anxiety so I probably wouldn’t be able to do what he’s doing at all

Breaks my heart that this young man has to live with such traumatic memories and can never shake it with his scars he has to see every day. It was so pointless and evil. So many kids like him have to live with these gruesome memories they experienced and try to move forward carrying this heavy burden in their souls.

The fact that he was running for his life while his ankle was blown off, the fear and adrenaline masked the pain. That poor kid jesus christ
