Great push at the end, I also went for a sub 22 last Sunday on a hilly course, 21:50. Am 65 so it's getting harder. My thought process when going out too hard, "I put in that much effort, not going to waste it by slowing down." Then again I didn't go as fast as you for the first k, only 4:11.
Well done in getting the sub 22. 9/10 I have the issue of going with the wrong group at the start and trying to match the pace only to be done in by the first mile. I like watching anything running related and caught on to the Ben Parkes line. I enjoyed your video, soon to videos just as much. Roll on the sub 21. I am just coming back from injury myself.
Nice one on the pb! Often happens after marathon training. I currently have 8:30 of POC footage of a 19:45 parkrun before the Insta died. Working out how to weave a tale around that.
