As per Mr Flynn, glad that the sand gun works so well, I’ve been thinking of sand blasting my front hard rock and concrete wall which is now dirty and embedded with moss. A wire brush doesn’t touch it so this looks the perfect solution. Thanks for the video

It's an excellent little set up. Glad the video helped you find what you were looking for Paul. I clean up all my motorbike and car parts with this blaster and it does a perfect job. 👍👍👍

Pressure wash it with a quality kercher high pressure washer..you won't be disappointed
@oraclescave
@oraclescave 5 лет назад
@@kitecattestecke2303 yes I would have to agree. If its moss removed from concrete, jet washing it would be a better way to tackle it. Off in minutes plus the water would just evaporate, as where blasting it, you would be left with a hell of a mess to clean up. 👍👍👍

Simba Fishtigre hi, I’ve tried that with and without the karcher stone cleaner but although it gets some of it off it still doesn’t succeed, so I thought maybe try sand blasting. But thanks for your reply

Yes it's an awesome little kit, I was looking into the nail gun myself, I might just pick one up, it's so much easier than trying to get a nail in while trying to hold the workpiece. And when people are not around, you get to shoot it around the hut like a gun lol. 👍👍👍

Thanks Mr Flynn, it's a decent little tool that doesn't steal too much space, still capable of doing much bigger jobs with some couple of minute pauses, manageable in my book because I'm always taking breaks anyway lol All the best Darren

The compressor is a must have, ive got air tools everywhere . Best air tool i bought cheap was an old Chicago pneumatic air file for bodywork, makes light work on cars. The sandblaster is great, speeeds things up very quickly. Im a panel beater by trade so without a compressor you cant do much. Youll wonder why you haven't had a compressor all your life when you find other uses for it.
@oraclescave
@oraclescave 5 лет назад
Definitely, I thought pumping up tyres and occasional sand blasting, but it gets used for loads of things, I'm only just coming across all the types of sanding tools that are air powered, and I'm ready to make the crossover. Lots of tools that I have could be changed out for air tools and save me some extra space, and they also do a better job much faster than anything i have, with minimal effort to switching out sandpaper and tools. Even the wife requests the use of the compressor at times, and she is scared of power tools. This will be powering the plasma cutter when it's up and running aswell. 👍👍👍
@petergoodwin2465
@petergoodwin2465 5 лет назад
@@oraclescave yes mate i cant Wait To See the plasma cutter going. I had to make some interior parts for my old chrysler regal se out of stainless steel went through about ten jigsaw blades and ended up taking the parts to work to use their plasma cutter. Took ten minutes to cut 8 parts out ,using a jigsaw on one part was two hours and over $50 in blades . Stainless steel is so hard but the plasma cutter flys through it. Knew youd love the compressor. Great stuff mate .
@oraclescave
@oraclescave 5 лет назад
@@petergoodwin2465 I have an evolution mitre saw that cuts through everything, plastic, wood, metal, stone, brick, aluminium. It's good for cutting bars in straight cuts but the plasma cutter was for the more serious chunks and free hand cuts rather than straight angles. And using the plasma cutter can cut back on lots of other work by just hacking it out of the way lol

Me too It would take me days and days of wire brushing and sandpaper to get an engine partially clean so I could paint. But this blaster can turn a full engine, brand new Looking in every tight space in minutes, with no need to paint to hide bad spots, much better for keeping air cooled engines cooler with no paint. But just simply amazed how good this cheap set up actually works. 👍👍👍

Second week having mine and turned it on today..... It won't build up pressure any idea why? Or how to fix. Plug under tank is tight not leaking there
@oraclescave
@oraclescave 5 лет назад
If possible I would return it for replacement or refund. Sometimes cheaper end compressors have weak copper piston ring type seals Yours might have folded causing lack of build up. Replacing the piston is the only other way to fix really. Not a hard job, but shouldn't have to do it after 2 weeks. Mine still works and I have been doing a lot of sand blasting with it. Running them for a long time without a cool down period is not advised. Or having it constantly refilling, small motors with no oil,overheat easily. Which normally causes the piston seal to fold. Rebuild kit should be pennies, and take you an hour to fix if you go slow. 👍👍👍

Hi. How much sand would you need to do a 1000cc engine?
@oraclescave
@oraclescave 3 года назад
Depends, maybe a few small bags/bottles, you can use a sieve to filter the grit and re-use the same grit. Some people just buy a bag of Childs playsand and dry it out and use that. Probably get it very cheap and you would have a decent supply left for other stuff.

@oraclescave
@oraclescave 3 года назад
Yes, much larger tanks are used so there is a constant supply all the time. But if you were doing smaller areas at a time this machine would be fine, decent power. For big areas the machine would need to refill lots of times, but if you done a bonnet or a door sized target at a time this would be more than enough.
