Today, we will have a look at Parkside rotary tool, what to fix and how to fix that. And also few tips for useful drill bits. Sorry for my accent and slower english, I don't use it regularly.
I got this tool from my father, did not have charger, i thought you could charge it from standard USB but noo.. Like what the h***, stupidest thing ever.. thanks for this informative video.
An excellent review - with some really useful tips. I have just bought one of these - and NOW they do not include a charger for it!! What to do? Take it back for a refund - I hate the fact that things are sold with no functionality. Conning the customer out of money is not usual for Lidl????
Thank You very much that You put much efforts to record such informative review for parkside grinding tool. Have You any information about the difference between for example Parkside bfps A1, B3, B4 C5, If Yes, please make another video for familiarization
One of the newer revisions, the C ones have USB-C for charging, but it finally uses 5V, and there is step-up in the tool. Also, the space for second bearing has disappeared, so really bad thing, as you need to buy expensive japanese deep groove bearing to bear the forces...
Hi can you make it a video to show us how you installed the bearing this he help us a lot from start to end removing screws… After I watch this great video I need it to buy charger, bearing and 4486! Tomorrow I look to see what parkside model I have exactly, I know he came without charger, cable usb c from lidl! 😊..
Very good and informative review. Where did you manage to find this Dremel chuck so cheaply? In serbia it's around 10-12 euros everywhere, almost as much as the tool itself.
On the C5 the USB-C is a USB-C-5volt-voltage. I guess they heard your video or this usb-c was to fill in for the upgrade that was going to be the C5 where you dont get a charger in the package because of stupid EU-regulations. But what they also have done is to change out the bearing. On the C5 its a smaller tiny shaft and bearing and the rest of the space filled with rubber bushings. So they adressed the shaking in thier own way even if they actually made sure to pin the bearing this time so the user couldnt disassemble the shaft. But what I think is worse is that its a brushed motor and the brushes arent changeable. So if it goes high speed the brushes could wear out very quickly and the machine will be useless. So what i think is the worst thing is that the new size of the shaft and the also all the time the brushed motor that isnt servicable when it comes to brushes. if I use it alot I think I will wear out the brushes within the time of warranty.
bearings are definitely problem with these tiny dremel-like rotary tools. Typical RS motors have changeable brushes, but they are one piece with holders and rear shield. One has to use hammer and smaller flat screwdriver and the rear end of the motor is out, alongside with brushes. Aliexpress is full of these, just find out what type the motor is. I usually change these on RS550, RS580 and 775 motors.
Well interesting info. Injection molding is not my hobby or work, but It writes PA6 with GF of 30 + TPE. We call it just glassy nylon and rubber, but of couse it has more specific and accurate names. But it is not polystyrene or polycarbonate. Polystyrene is the material universal instrument boxes are made of, and polycarbonate or ABS, I have mostly seen them in low end tools. I only have bad experience with older dewalt "rubbers" (unsure about the specific name, TPE, TPU, ?), they stick, leave traces, fall off, act gooish and like plasteline. Regarding the bearings, front bearing is not protected against dust by labyrinth or simmering as it is in dremel and such, so front bearing with shielding get pretty dirty. Moreover, motor has insufficient cooling. But the Parkside dremel-like tool has already done tons of work, and I would definitely buy it again, maybe in X12V series. But they don't have space for second bearing, as this PFBS 12 D4 has.
@@bekrstechnologies Came here to say this. And it's better that the charger isn't provided, since the original one (as you said) had no communication and could easily fry other USB-C devices, though I note that the 2nd bearing i put in this one can get REALLY hot. FWIW, I risked it and plugged in the newest version with the old charger and it seemed to charge fine. Was going to return the old one, but at 25euro, I think I'll just keep it as spare/spare parts.
