In this Video I get in a Parkside Hedge trimmer that Keeps Cutting Out in most cases this could be a fuel problem or fuel hoses.. but it looks more like a Carburetor Issue.. so let's take it apart and see what we can do to get you up and running in this how to repair video.

Great video Mick, you are right you could have done an adjustment,but if the carb is not right you risk engine damage.

They are on the heavy side. Ive had stuff in where the metal grill has been removed. Sounded ok in the end. Great vid.

That parkside hedge trimmer almost looks simliar to a sthil hs80 version but spot on mate about checking the diaphragm and the screen before any adjustments made 👍

Ive got a 2019 Lidl PARKSIDE hedge trimmer. It runs great but is incredibly hard to start COLD. yoy need to pull the recoil 20 odd times with the throttle pulled in to start the thing cold.

Parkside, the green stuff, is Lidl. Aldi sell Workzone, the blue stuff. Probably around the £79 price at a guess. Where's the little Villiers from on the back of the bench? Future project?

I prefer to just strip them down and throw em in the ultrasonic for 15 mins whilst i get a cup tea , too many times i have them where they get full of that glue like stuff or ethanol jelly type stuff despite they look clean upon dismantling! Do u have a part number for that diaphragm set? been looking for an assorted set for ages

i have that exact hedge trimmer, when it eventually starts, it just cuts out as soon as u give it some revs, might try servicing the Carburetor? were do i get that diaphragm from? no point me spending £90 on a box of them

Take it apart and see what one it is.. lots on line..

This is from the mountfield website....hope it helps ... The Mountfield MHT 2322 hedge cutter is an update of the very popular MHJ2424. It is now powered by a reliable, easy starting 23.5 cc two-stroke petrol engine which runs on a 50:1 fuel/oil mixture. The 58cm/22" double reciprocating blades will make light work of cutting growth up to 28mm in diameter. A comfortable working position can be easily selected with the twist-grip 3 position rear handle. 2 Stroke Oil/Petrol Mixing Bottle Included.

Hold on! I am no expert, but that does not look like a mower! Also Parkside is Lidl, not Aldi. Also they have a 3 year warranty so if it did that on a newish one it would go back. Good work, still would like to know where you get the set of parts are. I expect the hedge trimmer cost between £70 and £80.
