Great modification my friend. So I just need one 0-100ohm and one 100ohm resistor.
@ErCanEverything
@ErCanEverything Год назад
You only need a 100 ohm potentiometer. Because I didn't have 100, I put 220, which I had on hand, and therefore I connected a 100 ohm resistor in parallel to it. Otherwise, in other videos I saw that the temperature can be programmed through the button. But I think it's better that way

If it worked with 12V before, it will still work now. As one viewer wrote he made it work with 12V by connecting a 10K resistor between the sense input and the negative input🙂

At 2:03 mins, why would you need to put another 100ohm resistor instead of the 0 ohm pls?
@ErCanEverything
@ErCanEverything Год назад
I only needed a 100 ohm potentiometer but I had 220 ohms. With 220 ohms halfway through it wouldn't heat up the soldering iron and I decided to connect a 100 ohm resistor in parallel. and so I got the maximum 68 ohms which keeps the soldering iron at 200⁰C

Hello 👋 there. Unfortunately the one I got PLSA 20 Li B2 doesn't have the same board. So I can't apply the video suggested hack. Too bad. With extensive use both tips are gone in two days.

If the board is not the same then you need to cut one wire of the temperature resistor which in my case the wires are white and black color and connect it in series with the potentiometer

There is no hack! The PCB is pre made with that option already but it's not in use because this is the cheaper model.On the other more expensive model you can adjust the temperature because it has the same PCB but with the VR mounted.They keep the costs low by standardizing and they can charge you more money for the same product but with a VR instead of a strap.It's business! You can call it a hack if you made it adjustable by other means,not the ones provided by them already.
@ErCanEverything
