I remember when they debuted "vice grip" and I wasn't too excited about it. It even had me skeptical for the rest of the album. Then this song came out and changed my mind completely. I won't doubt this band again. I fuckin love IRE now and I'm kicking myself for ever thinking it could suck.
Anthony Medeles I respect your opinion but I think that PWD lost what most loved them for when bringing out IRE. It is a good album indeed, but it is PWD's worst imo.
Clee Blatt I can agree with you to an extent. It isn't their best album but it's still good. I don't think they'll ever top horizons or Killing with a smile.
Yea Ire is their weakest imo. I'm a bit different to most people though, my favorite album by PWD is Atlas. To me it was like a perfect hybrid between Horizons and Deep Blue.
So glad I've been able to hear this live twice! Parkway Drive is one of a few bands who bring everything they have and sound better live than in studio!
Saw them this year in Frankfurt, one of the best live shows ever for me (others were David Gilmour, Insomnium, Killswitch Engage and Slipknot). There are bands which are great but suck live, but this band has great music and great live show, sound, performance, energy is top on their shows.
I like it too. In Blood sounds like Horizons. Absolute Power, Chronos, I Hope You Rot are just angry. The closure is sick. I don't care for prey or the void but I don't hate them the same way that a lot of elitists do
Am i the only one that noticed that there are missing bass kicks in the main breakdown? Maybe it has to do that the drummer was upside down and it was hard to nail those double kicks
Nah, just the recording man, sometimes the mic doesn't pick up on the 2nd pedal head. It's happened to me while drumming. So annoying too because you know you nailed a part but nobody else did hahahaha
