What a beautiful, diverse tapestry of Occitan-speaking people. It seems the younger they are, the more French in the accent. Were these multiple dialects, or just one? For example, I seem to notice almost everyone has a different way of pronouncing the word 'totjorn'.
Hi, thanks for your interest ! It's always a great pleasure to see peoples who aren't native form occitanian regions enjoying our culture. Here is one language, but as every way of speaking, the accent can change depending to the place it is spoke. Here in Ségala, there is sometimes significative variations from one village to another, even if they only just few km away from eachother. Stay thuned, more content is coming ! Adiu

Most young speakers of regional languages in France have French as their 1st language, they've learnt the regional language much later, or from teachers who also have French as their 1st language, so they also have a French accent quite often. It's true for many minority languages anyway (Breton, Irish...). Most native speakers are old people, who are too old to be teachers, so most teachers are "learners" and quite often they haven't managed to get the native accent.
