Now since you have discovered the "Funk Mobb" aka Parliament Funkadelic. Please do a deep dive into their studio and live catalogue. It is massive !!! I guarantee that you will love it. I suggest you start from the beginning and pay close attention to how their sound changed with the myriad of members that came and went. Their mixture of funk, rock, soul etc.. is unparalleled. And once you immersed yourself in it, you will understand one of their favorite sayings... FUNK IS IT'S OWN REWARD...🤘🏾🎼🤘🏾
This comment is 100% true. I’m a Caucasian man who was born in 1995, so I had no idea who Parliament/Funkadelic was until just a few years ago. Their music has absolutely changed my life in a more positive way than any other artist/musician ever has. I seriously cannot emphasize how great this collective of musicians really was. I know I’m a year late to this video, but please please please, take this commenter’s advice and do a deep dive into P-Funk. I’d be along for the entire ride! The funk will never die!
If you think hearing this on wax is incredible, just imagine being 16 years old and seeing this live, it was mind blowing. Long live tha funk. Thanks George
No I disagree with that one bro the best guitar player ever in the world was Jimi Hendrix nobody can never come close to Hendrix and I mean no one and don't get me wrong I do like Michael but he is not the best
Everyone has a favorite guitar player, but no guitar on the planet played a guitar solo called Maggot Brain." It's played by Mike Hampton, and please listen to the version played in Houston in 1978. Check it out.
You should check out the original studio versions of red hot mama by parliament and the 1974 version including vital.juicesnby funkadelic Eddie hazel.is the guitar hero on both versions even though he doesn't play on this live gig
I've listened to Parliament since I was a kid. Actually, there were a lot of black bands with awesome guitars, but rap and the greed of the music industry broke these bands up. The name of his hat is called a "brim."
@@Duane-tl2zc Thats not an apple cap a apple cap is flat and has an apple shape with a button in the middle. And a brim is how short or long the brim is around hats the brown hat the host is waring is called a pan cake.
@@MRSZ5440 Oh yeah? I from the East Coast, the 70' maybe your neck of the woods. And to be specific can you really tell if Gary Shider has on apple (which he was known to rock) or "brim" really? Even at P-FUNK concerts during the 76'-77' shows a gigantic "Apple" hat would be the prop concealing the 'mothership' at least that's what we would call it.
Parliament is that band! As a proud Aries, I can say that Red Hot Mama is the Aries theme song. By the way, Eddie Murphy is filming the bio-pic as the lead singer George Clinton. It will be his pinnacle role, best believe it. I love that y’all are jammin’ the Funk!
I don’t care what anyone says This was the best reaction video I ever watched on RU-vid and this is the best RU-vid channel ever subscribe to on the platform because is the first one that I watched with friends and that’s all I was missing from being on RU-vid for many years since I join i was in middle school and it let to this one and it’s the best one of them all ❤️🔥🎸🥁🤘🙌
This video is recorded in mono that's why you are not hearing all the instruments so the sound is jacked up go listen to the studio original recording.
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts If you want to hear what Eddie Hazel can really sound like go listen to, I Want to Know if its good to you with your head phones on. Funkadelic
