Can I just say that the "Power Ponies" episode is exactly like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle: Character (Spike) reads a riddle, everyone (Mane 6 + Spike) gets sucked into the game (comic book), become the avatars (Power Ponies + Hum Drum), and must save Jumanji (Maretroplis), defeat Van Pelt (Mane-iac), return the Jaguars Eye (Electro Orb) in order to get out of Jumanji (Maretroplis).
You know, this episode gets a lot of flack and I won't pretend I don't get it - Several minutes of Spike saying he's useless gets annoying after a while (Plus all he has to do is embrace his inner dragon greed and he'll turn in to a giant town destroying dragon) (God, now who's the pony nerd...) - But There's some really fun action in this episode, a delightfully over the top villain and some good jokes so it's far from the weakest of pony episode. Somewhere in here is a decent Megan/Charlotte episode trying to get out and I for one really miss Charlotte, she was a really dark and funny writer, I hope she returns someday - I miss Meghan too but she's making the movie so there's no doubt it will be glorious.
I enjoy the episode as well and I 100% agree with you. However I think that the reason most people don't like it is because it is just an odd episode. It feels drawn out and it's timing is off. That as well as the fact that spike isn't portrayed as what the writers were probably going for. They were probably going for spike to look like a hero but instead the made him seem like a last resort, which is kind of annoying especially when even non writers like myself can see why this episode lacks depth. It's just an oddball episode that's filled with junk that will never matter again. They don't have their power pony stuff, it didn't build on ANY of the characters and it just seems draw out. I think the reason people don't like it is because it's just filler. It's not even slice of life or relevant action it's, just, filler. Which sucks, because it could've been a really good episode for spike's character but it wasn't.
TheBarbequeBrony that and the mane six powers are pretty much the same as those in equestria. And them not getting hang of something that they do in real life just make it seems like they were nerf just to make spike look better. And that's an awful way to write a story about a characters who feels inferior to other characters,
@@spilledink849 I didn't like it how it shows Spike isn't allowed to be equals to the girls since he's not a "chosen one" like them(as in in this case, he didn't get any powers at all). He did something yes but then immediately afterwards, he is shoved into the girls' shadows and it is THEY who ultimately take down the villain. It just rubs it in that Spike is not a "chosen one" like the girls are and will always be in their shadows and not be equals with them, which is a huge problem here.
I noticed that in the theme there's an animation error. There's a frame during "Big adventure" where rainbow dash's wing is disconnected and in about 5 pieces

well to be fair, the mane six failing at the beginning was more due to the fact that they didn't know what was going on than through incompetence. they didn't know who the power ponies were and what they could do, so expecting them to control their powers perfectly, despite not even knowing what those are, is a bit nitpicky don't you think? i mean, once spike actually told them what their respective doppelgängers could do, they did get the hang of it rather quickly.

0:09 is kinda a reference to Suicide Squad, because when Spike shown the comic, you can see a pony falling into toxic/green goop. In Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn falls into toxic/green goop. WAS HASBRO BEHIND THE CREATION OF SUICIDE SQUAD?
The fact pinkie is super fast in here and dash cam control the weather is super cool and all and i just candy decide if these are better powers than dash being super fast and pinkie exploding things in EG because both versions suit them very well (same for the others but it's funny that they both have the same power in different universes) and that's enough for a sin removal for me
Hey LittleshyFiM, why did you put the "bonus scenes" before the "ending" instead of like usual? And this episode reminds me a lot of a bad "transported into Equestria" fanfic.

This is nothing more than an episode that made me feel bad for Spike, I know how he feels, it’s practically every day of my life. Spike, I love you man!

Spike isn't useless, think of how much harder it would be to get mail without a magic belching mail box. I guess you could argue for more but I'll let you do that.
I've noticed good sins for a couple of episodes before, the submission page only allows for half a season in advance, and I always forget them before I'm allowed to submit.
