Man i wish you showed more highlights of the Eels defence in that second half. Sheer Brutality. Pay, Smith and Moran could all turn on the thuggery when they needed to. I haven't seen that game in 13 years and I still remember the very liberal refereeing. A blatant elbow into Taylor's face by Moran there was totally ignored. Norths had no steam for the next week when the Bulldogs did them 23-2 at North Sydney. They were completely bashed in this game.
JT had a broken nose from the last game of the season if I remember correctly (A 62-0 smashing of the cowboys). Parra were rubbing his face in most tackles and he had to be taken from the field to stop the bleeding. Bears were rudderless without JT
Agree on the following Bears game against the bulldogs, but that game was a lot closer than it ended up. I think it was 2-2 for the majority of the game and then the wheels feel off like they did too often for the bears in the 90s
Cowardly elbow to the head of Jason Taylor at 2.17 should have been a straight send off among other dirty shots but they choose to ignore when it suits. That sums up rugby league, always an agenda.
@@darylkanofski9327 That was a send off in any era. Norths weren't who the league hierarchy wanted to win, as simple as that. Now the game's going broke, karma i say.
