Most info about parrotlets on Google is wrong. Thank you for providing accurate information!! I would like to add there’s no need for a solo parrotlet to wiggle its neck. They would only keep doing it if encouraged by their owner. They don’t dance to express joy. My solo parrotlet is almost 11, and I can't recall the last time he has done it. Parrotlets are not like any other parrot and have unique behaviors. It's disgusting to see a trend where irresponsible owners prioritize online attention over the well-being of their bird and have endless amounts of videos on social media of their bird wiggling and encourage people to laugh at them. Those owners will never get it. They don’t care but complain their bird is angry and bites them all the time lol.

This really is the best parrot body laungage vid on RU-vid (for any size parrot). The high definition shots of Ziki clearly demonstrating the behaviors is excellent and engrossing. He seems made for the part, clearing showing the physical movements of the behaviors, and he’s adorable, a joy yo watch!

i just yesterday rescued a young parrotlet from the street, vet said that it doesnt seem harmed and probably just tried leaving its nest, this is a good video to show off behaviors to look out for and encourage

My bird just done this strange thing where it looked like he had dislocated his wing and then put it back into position himself, then preens his wing feathers. It only lasted around 10 seconds. Has that ever happened to Ziki?

Yeah! Ziki has the same problem sometimes when he moves too fast or at an awkward angle. It looks uncomfortable, but just like your birdie, he fixes it on his own ❤️

When I scratch or rub my Parrotlet Starry's head he starts that head wiggle and regurgitation and wants to put it on my fingers. I thought it was funny and cute. How does it cause behavioral and health problems? You never say what kind. Tells us more.
