This is “Bennet Mtn Gal”. She is a 4yo TB who just came off the track!
Her breeders also owned California Chrome’s sire! They decided to retire this girl early because she didn’t like her job (responsible owners!!) Her daddy was a 1.5mil dollar winner, but she only pulled in $20k this year and they feel that she just didn’t like to race! The breeders thought her and I would make a good fit and that I could give her a new career. They said she was hard to ride and didn’t like the jockeys on her face (Could you blame her?) She is fresh off the track and just had her aluminum shoes pulled and replaced with steel. She is 16.2 hands and until today she hasn’t ever even seen a dog! I think she is gonna enjoy “ranch horse life”.
I will be recording her progress so you all can join me in the adventure of giving this girl a new life.
