Found your channel looking for a harley davidson buying experience. I saw you had a bad experience with service. I would definitely talk to the manager if i were you. These bikes aint cheap at all so i would ask for top level service. They should give you a job there honestly lol 🤘
I put that on my CVO along with the Harley tuner . I put the air cleaner on but had Harley set up the tuner . They cried when I told them I wanted to do the tuner and program it , so to avoid hearing Warranty issue I let them do it . I downloaded the app checked it out but haven’t messed with it yet . Nice job on yours
I get that, they like to try keep our grubby hands off our bikes which I can understand to an extent. If I worked on something for someone and promised a warranty on my work and then they went and worked on it I’m not going to warranty my work anymore. Buuuuuuuut on the other hand if I have any issues you can bet I’ll damn well try to get my warranty upheld 🤣
Sorry man finally sub'd your channel after lurking the past few episodes. Also mostly a sportbike guy, but now on my 3rd Harley with a recent 2024 SG addition to the garage. Normally I look to swap intake/exhaust/tuning 1st, but have yet to mod my new bike as I wait for the aftermarket to catch up. Really liked the exhaust vid and this vid helps my research for the still stock 117. Keep the unbiased approach.
Thanks for coming along for the ride!!🙌 I totally get it man, I did the same thing in the past to some channels, now that I’m trying to grow this to something awesome, I always give channels the like and sub to support others! Im loving the transition to Harley’s, so many cool options, I’ve already seen some very different versions of builds on these 24’s which I really appreciate. I do love my sport bikes though and am thinking I will need another soon. A last-build year R1 would be awesome…🫣
Great vid! Did the Harley stage 2 on my 24 RG. Almost went with that intake but went with the trask. I'm the same size as you and for what it's worth the trask is not in the way at all so had you gone that way you'd have been fine. In any case your bike looks kill and I enjoy your videos.
Absolutely man, I love it! Definitely going to do some nice hardware as I tear into it over the winter, looking forward to doing suspension and engine work during the rainy season.
Thanks for watching as always man, and I definitely recommend it, I normally like aftermarket better than Harley’s options but I really do like this offering from them.
I was all set to buy the Trask intake but after you said it would get in the way, I changed my mind. I also went with SP Concepts exhaust and should get it in soon. I went with the Big Bore 4.5 though. I'm planning on going Stage II with the 550 SE cam. I know some of the other cams, like MHP 485 make about 10 more hp, but I don't want to void my warranty (yet) by not sticking with the SE tune.
I try to keep it cool and do good work but I have my moments like the rest of us, best to just walk away at that point. Not that I’ve learned that yet 😅
Another amazing video. Can I just ask on these new Road Glides does the gear indicator stay on with the clutch pulled in I know the older ones used to disappear with the clutch in. Have they changed that
It was the other way around for me, I like the wedge too but this one just beat it out for me. I love that Harley is coming out with some viable options that compete with the aftermarket when it comes to things like this or seats.
Great video man! I myself have a white 24 RG. I am looking to get that same pipe at some point. Is yours raw or polished? Hard to tell but it's coloring up beautifully!
Just exhaust you DON’T need a tune. Once you do an intake as well you DO need a tune. I am running the Screamin’ Eagle Tuner for now which I will be replacing as soon as better tuning is on market.
No I don’t have any decel popping or bad running conditions, I do have the screamin eagle pro tuner though, you need to add some sort of tuner after doing an intake.
The 121 style version are way way better for leg room. That’s the one they NEED to sell. It’s a shame that the filters don’t stay red for longer than 1 ride 🙄😒
Yes unfortunately. And it’s worse with forward controls than mids. I’d love to run one, it’s my favorite looks wise and would match my derby cover perfect..
Size of the overall intake has no correlation with the leg hitting or clearing an intake. Location and design of the intake does. I’m sorry your leg hits on your ST, I test rode a 23 RG ST and my leg hit on that, couldn’t stand it. But the video doesn’t lie and I have no reason to mislead you, my leg doesn’t hit at all.
You actually got yours before they sold out then. Congratulations on that, you lucked out! I communicated with them about a month ago via email and they signed me up for their update when they come back in stock, still haven’t received an update email and went this route.
My god please tell me you did not use red locktite. You are never getting that thing off if you did. Bro I had to go back and zoom in on the bottle. That is 100% Locktite 271. You need to go in and try and get those screws out ASAP! If not you are going to have to heat them up to 500 degrees break them loose.
OK. Just watched the rest of it go together. Red locktite on everything. You are 100% screwed. That is high temp 271 locktite on everything. That is not coming apart. You just wasted about $600.
The ones that go into the heads for the throttle body cover already had loctite on them anyway, so only thing that got loctite in it was the throttle body, which will be getting changed this winter.
@@retiredarmyvet2018 I think you’re right, I may have filmed this before I was able to get my hands on blue, just have a few videos recorded so I’m not sure but if you zoomed in and checked then that’s what it is. Fortunately the only bolts I did loctite are the ones going into the intake manifold which I’m changing next time this setup comes off!
@@OffWeekGarage I would slowly try and back them out. CRC brake cleaner can help dissolve it. If not a soldering iron on the screw head to get heat into might help. Good luck.
Man I know you’re trying to keep your factory warranty (I did the same thing and bought a pro street tuner), but save your money and just get a dynojet power vision. That pro street tuner is garbage and I can’t even sell it cause it’s married to my ecm forever. I had fuel moto write a tune on my power vision and it runs 10x’s better and about 15 degrees cooler.
I’m not trying to keep my factory warranty at all, if anything my goal is to build it way beyond warranty-able levels and then if anything happens, test those boundaries out. I’m building the bike out my way, it’s just worth it to me to show people what they can do and still stay under warranty until timing becomes available. This winter the bike will get some engine work and dyno tuning for sure. These canned tunes are absolute trash. Same as the diesel truck world canned tunes. I look forward to seeing what becomes available for these bikes and sharing it with ya’ll!🙌
