Casino Bot is simultaneously the greatest and worst addition. The feeling of disappointment when your unit is a mere panel away is soul crushing...

For better or for worse, a new adventure begins. Elibe was filled with peace and prosperity once more. Both Dsnoon and Alfred had failed in their missions. Donkey and Cuckold had been vanquished. It seemed that the bald man’s reign of terror had come to an end. But… Halfway across the world lay the continent of Magvel. It, unlike Elibe, had always been a place of undisturbed peace. The various nations got along well, and everyone worked for the benefit of the people. However, one of the countries, the Grado Empire, suddenly decided to invade the neighbouring Kingdom of Renais - a longtime ally of Grado’s. It was a shock to all, and Renais was completely unprepared. They were overwhelmed in the blink of an eye. We begin the story in Renais Castle, in a time of utter turmoil… The castle had been breached, and was about to be overrun by Grado troops. King Fado could do nothing but order his men to surrender, and instruct his daughter Cherry to flee for Frelia, escorted by her protector - the enigmatic master of the dark arts, Shuumoner. They ran into one of Grado’s generals outside the castle, and were forced to flee after Shuumoner was injured. One of their best soldiers, Hidolfr, went on ahead, to check that there was no danger. The pair made it all the way to the border with Frelia without incident, but were ambushed by Grado troops! They were led by the aptly-named NinjaMoney, a man with a propensity to steal from his opponents. Shuumoner’s trademark summoning failed him at the most critical moment, and so Cherry was forced to hold off the two oncoming fighters herself. In doing so, she found out something intriguing: their weapons were cursed by the Devil, and so they had a chance to injure themselves using them. She was happy about it, and was glad of the potential extra damage - until she discovered that this effect extended to anyone fighting them as well. She found that out the hard way. Still, Shuumoner used his mend staff to heal her up before moving in to take on NinjaMoney himself, who went down without much of a fight. The pair continued on into Frelia, keeping their eyes open for Cherry’s sibling, and praying that this success would continue on into future battles. They soon arrived in Frelia, coming to Castle Mulan. The sanctuary that they had sought was not to be, however, as Mulan had been overtaken by Grado troops before they arrived! Shuumoner declared that the place was not safe, and advised Cherry that they should bypass the place altogether - but Cherry was unwavering in her commitment to retake the castle, and Shuumoner reluctantly agreed. Before long, they were joined by Hidolfr, with an impulsive Frelian cavalier named Copelance in tow. They moved down from the north to assist Cherry and Shuumoner in taking out the nearby Fighters. Shuumoner made his way through the rest of the enemies before slaying the boss, Eshne, while everyone else killed all the reinforcements from the southeast. Nobody in the castle had any word on Cherry’s missing sibling, however. After ensuring everyone’s safety, the company rode to Castle Frelia, where King Hayden informed them all of the tragic news of King Fado’s murder. He forbade them from venturing into Grado-occupied territory - but eventually yielded to Cherry’s persuasions on the condition that she allow herself to be accompanied by Brom, a knight cavalier, and Yucca, a thief (but a royal thief, so it’s okay). With a fully assembled company by her side, Cherry steeled her nerves and prepared to leave for Grado. The company’s first stop was the remote village of Ide - until very recently, a part of Renais. They were planning to continue south, but Yucca noticed that bandits were attacking an innocent village. Cherry could not stand by and let innocent people be slaughtered, so they moved in to attack. A young, injured magic student called Sophie decided to join their cause. However, her inexplicably half-horse father Ormund was overtaken by rage, and wouldn’t let her talk to him for a while. Still, when he finally did decide to help them, he proved invaluable in holding off the bandits, as they were all much stronger than anticipated. Shuumoner managed to defeat their leader, Rinkah, but the rest of them were just as threatening, having somehow acquired truly vicious weaponry. Everyone would need to contribute somehow. Even Yucca was forced to risk her life, though she dealt some fierce blows to the enemy. Brom rose above all, proving himself a worthy addition to the company. Eventually, after a hard-fought battle, the bandits were eradicated, though the group moved on without remembering to visit the nearby houses. Cherry and Shuumoner spoke with Ormund - apparently, he had been a troop commander of Renais, but had retired to take care of his daughter. He decided that they would come with the group, and pick up his axe once again. Later, Cherry bumped into someone - and then noticed that her bracelet was gone. That person must have stolen it! She had to get it back - but who had taken it, and where had they gone? Find out next time on Fire Emblem: The Sacred Pain!

hey mangs, check out a hack called 'sacred echos'. its a demake of shadows of valentia that reworks it into more a a fire emblem game, less open field maps (almost none at all) side objectives that make playing smarter and faster well rewarded, as well as some minor story changes (like making fernand playable right away) they turn dungeons into their own map where there are mila statues for your units to promote etc. overall its a super fun one of playing valentia in a way that isnt a slog.

Dunno if someone mentioned it already, but there is a menu in advanced editor for changing what the class is for recruits. As well as how the event plays. Granted new classes would have to be made, ive done it before and its not that simple

Looking forward to AI drawing FE portraits but I still appreciate drawings from real people. I think AI drawing is best for non-artists but if specific things are needed for a portrait, like certain angle and poses, I still believe commissioning an artist would be the best answer.

Great stream as always! I wish people wouldn't be so negative about AI generated art. Listen, I understand the instinctive reaction of people who make their living on art to get defensive when they are talking about their literal livelihood. I've felt similarly about my own job and technology in the past, and I think it was a mistake. I think this absolutely can be a good thing for artists in the long term, as well as for everyone. People have regularly thought that new innovations were going to create mass unemployment throughout history, and it almost never works out that way. New tools that improve accessibility and productivity often actually increase the demand even more. Personally, the more I hear about AI in the creative fields the more I want to get creative myself. Humans working together with AI can absolutely be better than either on their own in so many fields, and I think art is going to be no exception. I can see so much room for passionate professionals to do even better and more with the aid of technology! I've heard artists talk about using things like Dalle or Stable Diffusion for inspiration (Nit basically did this for us live with Klok's Louise waifu come to think of it!). I've seen clips of people editing together numerous images and having AI help quickly develop transitions. Give it a few years, and I think creative folks are going to be almost universally praising this stuff and wondering how they ever lived without it, and there will still be folks shelling out money to get that human expertise and touch (I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this grew instead of shrank btw). We are merging with our technology, like it or not. I'd say we are already functionally cyborgs. I think there is absolutely a scary bit to that; just look at China informing everyone through their phones when someone with bad social credit is near. But we are capable of so much so easily nowadays. With some actions on a phone, we can send a command into the human hivemind to deliver food, a ride, or just about any item you can imagine, within minutes or a few days depending on what it is and its urgency. We can play music and access a ridiculous vast repository of human knowledge at a whim. We can translate many languages with acceptable fidelity. Our minds are programmed to detect and prevent threats, and we understandably look at the downsides of all this a lot. I really do get it, and I really do feel a lot of the downsides, but sometimes we need to just reflect on how awesome our accomplishments are as a species and how great our future could be. None of this is showing signs of slowing down (maybe arguably the end of Moore's Law, but that's like the one thing I could point to, and it is contentious) This stream is a great example. A community of folks who are passionate about these old games have kept a modding community alive for decades, and now we have the tools to generate characters on the fly from a community of passionate individuals, give them a face (btw you can easily see the room for AI integration here), give them stats, give them skills, and throw them into a functional version of the game with its own random elements to create something new and interesting. It's shocking how much chaos you can put in that process and have a Fire Emblem game that actually works pretty darn well! We're creating video games live as a collective using a two-decade old game, modding tools, a hivemind, the internet, and an 🥚to act as executive decision maker, leader, and playtester, and it's utterly amazing!!

If you have the time could you maybe answer few questions I have even though you're a Chad Egg there is only 24 hours in a day and I can tell your very busy. Are you going to do a video for units i've changed my mind about for PoR? Would you consider making a video what I would want from a Radiant Dawn Remake? (I can understand if you wouldn't want to do that, it must take a lot time and energy just to make the script alone) would you consider making a Cpmu once a year after this? you could rotate between fe6, fe7, and fe8 so it wouldn't get stale too quickly like end of 2023 Fe6, end of 2024 Fe7, ect. That way there is always hope for people who didn't get there character picked I think I have a somewhat of a work around for the Fe9 cpmu could you just recreate most of the maps on Fe8? granted some changes would need to be changed like maybe making the black knight fight it's own chapter to save on the headache of trying to code that, and also get rid of the blessed armor because no one likes it
