Melvin Lu Eh, Mangs was pretty much set up for failure here. Every one of his starting units were voted into the worst matching classes, and he was without a mage too. He definitely made a few mistakes this time, but the chat played a huge part as well.

Reminder that all Clive needs is one speed (it's possible to save the thief's shrine well for him) and a ridersbane to double and kill a ton of cavaliers in act 3, something Clair is far worse at due to her laughable str and def Clair bad, Clive underrated

To be fair, of all reactions in all fire Emblems, i think Seteth had the saddest Reaction to Flayn dying on Edelgards route than anybody else.

@@Aurirang The only disappointing part of that reaction is that Seteth remains stationary, it really feels like he should just come at you full tilt at that point.

I mean this is usually what happens when you invest in a bad unit in an ironman when you don't have too.

Stream chat was insane

I sort of disagree in the sense that I enjoy watching optimal play succeed and suboptimal play fail. If someone continually does not play well (or goofs around) but tries to give the impression that they are good at the game, watching it all crash and burn never stops being funny. Idiocy has to be backed by dependability, I think.

Kliff and Gray dying was all Mangs playing bad, not the class. He kept treating the Soldier boys like they were all made of paper(including Tobin,who is actually better than Lukas) for several maps on end and never even let them finish opponents, funneling almost all exp into characters that needed it less(just look at Kliff dying at level 1 and Gray at level 2). On this map, he retreated until he got cornered rather than fight in formation, left Kliff out in the open, and then didn't heal Gray. Oh, and instead of helping his slow soldiers out and giving them the Shield so they could frontline, he put it on Silque, a unit that should never frontline. Oh, and all of this also doesn't take into account that he could have made Gray mostly immune to getting doubled throughout this entire part by giving him a single point of spd at the Thief Shrine, and the same would be true for Kliff if he gave him two. Instead he fed all the stat boosters to Alm, the one unit who didn't need help.

@@dorotheaarnault5708 Not really tbh, the game is still plenty beatable, especially with those skirmishes he's going by fully exploring dungeons. Not a single death so far has been the classes fault, Mangs could have kept everyone alive still. And besides, complain as he will he's having a blast and so are we, on a game that if it became too easy we would all kinda lose interest. The chat may have memed, but Mangs is the one at fault here.

People wanted to see Echoes so it makes sense to do more than one stream of it. It's not like losing an iron man means you're never allowed to ever play that game again. Starting a new attempt is fine

Some units like Claire are integral to the plot and so can't die, even on classic and just retreat instead. Mangs can't pick and choose what characters can or can't retreat

What do you mean by "classic" for all characters? This IS classic. Units are permadead. It's just plot relevant characters "retreat" instead of canonically die. But the "retreated" characters are said to succumb to their injuries and die in the ending though, so theyyre all on borrowed time anyways

@@vanjagalovic3621 I get that he did do a straw poll but 1. saying the "large majority" said he should replay is flat out lying the poll was 54 to 46 a 8% difference isn't exactly large and 2. he shouldn't have done the poll in the first place he should have accepted his loss like a man and moved on to SD, POR, or whatever he plays next 3. unlike the soldier memery Alm's death was 100% mangs's fault he put Alm in a dangerous position and got punished for it, chat had 0 influence on that.

@@josephpanno6816 I agree that the loss was completely his fault and he probably shouldn't have replayed Echoes, but it's already done so there isn't much use in getting frustrated abiut it. He will probably fail the run anyway and this way Cyan won't need to make a new setup for the streams since he's just redoing it. Anyway he failed the run already and you shouldn't take this or his other runs too seriously since it's mostly for entertainement

@@vanjagalovic3621 I get that, I'm more annoyed than frustrated tbh since I think Echoes is a boring game to ironman, and seeing it end only to get revived is really annoying especially when he can be playing something like Conquest, SD, hell even POR would be much more enjoyable imo, plus Cyan wanted chat to vote for a new game for easy $. Finally yeah I agree the runs shouldn't be taken seriously I just feel like it's wrong to do an ironman of the same game right after losing it.
