The Stan Rogers Folk Festival is a signature Nova Scotia music festival, paying tribute to Stan Rogers by gathering leading songwriters from around the globe in Canso, Nova Scotia.
A highlight of the 2023 festival was a tribute to legendary Canadian songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. Enjoy this 3 part series sharing the memorable performances.

Stan Rogers, Gordon Lightfoot, and 'scuse me but Gordon Bok as well... all astonishingly, so amazingly good, all permanently my music gods.

Thanks for including Bok in your pantheon. I saw Bok while in college and he had a major effect on my musical preferences. Rogers and Lightfoot came later but it was probably Bok that primed me to appreciate them. There is just something about Canadian’s and Mainer’s music.

Music magic how do you do that each of the performers sounds like themselves but you can completely hear Gord I realize that sounds Cliché, but it's pretty special Pardon my typing I'm on a Smith Corona
