WOW... I know absolutely nothing about any of this, but I really enjoyed this video and learned something from it. I love how you researched everything and your presentation. (You have the voice of a great teacher by the way.) I am fascinated with the idea of having fish and plants, but I don't think I would be up to doing all of the work and maintenance it requires. thank you! I really really like doing research 😆 it is for sure a lot of work to start, but I think once you get used to a schedule and the habit, its just another chore in your routine. I must've spent at least 6+ hours reading and looking at all the different ones. My fiancé just rolled his eyes and sighed. My response is: "well, what can I say. I bought some goldfish form kingkoigoldfish and all the fish that I bought, end up dying. So yeah, i don't have a good experience with them. So I discord zhao fancies, and my goldfish are doing really good, and growing. So I recommend you to buy from them! They get new fish every Monday and they have really nice and beautiful orandas!
Yes! A couple types will work with them. I put Japanese Trap Door snails and either Netrite or Mystery, can’t remember which, but both those types won’t get eaten unlike other varieties. I saw my chubs try to get at them regularly but they were large enough to avoid being eaten
Some people try to stay away from RO water because it lacks beneficial minerals and such but you know if you wanna go that way get a hydroponic RO system they way faster
Hey, good to know! When I found threads about it in aquarium groups, people who'd done so recommended against it and said the sand ends up sifting underneath the soil since the particles are smaller so you eventually can't see it anyway, so I just stuck with one
@@takethevongwayhome It might happen if you use really fine sand (like actual beach sand), but if you use a one which is halfway between gravel and sand it should be okay.
Hey! If you mean a filter rated for exaclt the same size tank as it's going into instead of sizing up your filter, no it isn't too small you will probably just have to do water changes more often
