Hello po , i’m a new subcriber ng inyong chanel from Calgary.Mraming magagandang lugar d2 s alberta n tlagang hindi mo pgsasawaan, enjoy. Sna lipat nlng kau d2.
Glad you guys enjoyed your trip to Calgary and nearby beautiful places. I’ve visited Victoria once at nagustuhan ko siya lalo na yung lugar na puro bulaklak (can’t remember the name). Parang mas okay mag-retire diyan. Mas okay kasi ang weather. If you’re not decided yet I’d say kung may opportunities dyan sa Victoria eh dyan na kayo mag-stay. Pros sa Victoria… proximity to US. Kung gusto nyo pumasyal sa US (e.g. Washington) without flying eh malapit lang. Sa Calgary you need to long drive pa either to Montana or Idaho at liblib na lugar pa yan sa US.
The three most important considerations in buying a real estate: 1) location, 2) location, 3) location. If you have two completely identical homes, one is in Makati and the other one is in Zambales, you can be sure the one in Zambales will be cheaper by a wide margin. When you are buying a home, you are actually paying for its location. You can renovate a house but not its location. Location determines your quality of life. So if you say homes are cheap in Calgary, there is a big reason for that - its location. Calgary is over 3,000 feet above sea level. So winter there is long and very cold. You will have to endure that cold for as long as you live there. And fewer people are willing to do that. That’s why there are less people in Calgary than in Victoria. Fewer people want to live in Calgary, that’s why the demand for houses there is lower, resulting to much lower prices. Anything you buy, you get what you pay for.
Nasama sana namin to.
@user0lq1hi1wm8u - I agree that location, location, location is the mantra in real estate. But please provide information (real data) to support your claim. I can keep quiet about your comment but i cannot let people esp. Filipinos reading your comment given a wrong info. --- "So winter there is long and very cold. You will have to endure that cold for as long as you live there. And fewer people are willing to do that. That’s why there are less people in Calgary than in Victoria. Fewer people want to live in Calgary, that’s why the demand for houses there is lower, resulting to much lower prices." --- Less people in Calgary? The population of Calgary is around 1.5 million, while the population of Victoria BC is 400,000 (rounded). Just with this data (statcan), the basis of your reasoning why real estate in Calgary is cheaper than Victoria is flawed. Yes Calgary is cold, and yet, 1.1 million more people chosen to live in Calgary. Maybe there is something In Calgary that is not available in Victoria, BC or maybe they just wanted a colder climate. Cheers!
When you compare populations of cities, you must consider the total population vs total land area, also known as population density. You can’t use absolute numbers since there is a great disparity in the sizes of these cities. As per Wikipedia, Calgary has 1,552 persons per square kilometer. Victoria has 4,722 persons per square kilometer. So Victoria has almost 3 times more people per square kilometer than Calgary. You can check other sources but the ratio will remain almost the same.
@@user-lq1hi1wm8u tsk,tsk... earlier you are talking about "fewer people" living in Calgary, which I translated to population then you replied back with population density. Very clear that the number of people is bigger in Calgary, but you decided to spin it and went another way. Numbers don't lie. Now let's play your game. Victoria city itself (not Metro Victoria) is only 20sq km (rounded) with 92k people. Calgary city (Not Metro Calgary) is 825 sq km with 1.336 M people. Yes obviously, there will be more people per square kilometer in Victoria as the land area itself is just equal to two/three suburbs in Calgary. But let me compare Victoria to Calgary city centre with population of 38,663 (2016) and area of 6 sq km. Holy, there are 6,400 people per sq km. Calgary City centre is way crowded compared to Victoria. There are 1.5 times more people in Calgary city centre than in Victoria following your logic. To make it simple, layman terms - how many Walmart in each city? Walmart will not open a store if the population is less than 100,000 in a targeted area (city or town). 2 vs 11. Home Depot - 2 vs 8. Costco, Lowes? Why a big difference in numbers? If these companies will follow your logic, they should open more stores in Victoria. But why they have more stores in Calgary if there are "less people in Calgary than in Victoria"?
The fact that home prices in Calgary is lower than in Victoria simply demonstrates how the law of supply and demand works. There are more people competing for a small piece of land. It’s the same reason why average income in Calgary is higher than in Victoria - there are fewer available workers to hire in Calgary. Calgary has to have lower home prices and increase its salary offerings in order to attract more people to live there. It’s the law of supply and demand. It works the same way everywhere, in any country. Just like in Alaska - higher average income because manpower is scarce but cheaper home prices because of lower population density. If anyone thinks my opinion is wrong or maybe believes that this supply and demand gibberish do not apply in the case of Calgary, instead of dwelling on which city has the higher population, I’d rather hear the better reason why houses are cheaper in Calgary. I am willing to learn everyday.
House in Edmonton is 200k cheaper than Calgary, Hospital in Edmonton are 10 including community hospital, Job in edmonton is more compare in Calgary, most of the oil company is built in edmonton area.
Welcome to Calgary! Well, syempre as a Calgarian masasabi ko is : dito na lang kayo sa Calgary(Alberta), less 8% ang tax. So kunware 2,000 gastusin mo sa isang buwan, 160 ang savings mo per month, 1,920 yun per year. Pag winter, may tinatawag na Chinook, which is +10 to +20 ang temperature. So tunaw lahat, tumatagal yun ng 3-14 days. Yup and live music is alive here. Pang Pinas.
BC pa rin mas maganda..Dumating me d2 sa Vancouver 1st time ; lumapit or tumira us Alberta 4.5 years for job purposes ( which right easier to earn more $$$) but parang no life lol winter too long then tried then Ontario 2 years.. Overall choice and back to BC pa rin 😂 Beautiful British Columbia pa rin nice weather, more places to go 😊😊😊 Sa gastusin depende sa tao Nang paggastos lol 😊. Good luck April More videos/vlog to come Hope to run you guys somewhere when we’re in Victoria.. my son is in SHAWNIGAN Lake school. Take care!!!
When the time comes that you’ll be going to Cali, please aim to visit and stay in Yosemite National Park. I first experienced it as a teenager, and even now as a bit older guy, when I just wanna bring myself back in my mind to the Park to relax and destress. Comparable din sya sa Banff Sa Ganda. I just love how you guys are so cool. “Jollibee,,Jollibee, Jollibee” wow Astig!
In fairness, even in Canada, nasisiraan din pala ang mass transport train system nila, parang LRT/MRT lang din🤣. Exciting, entertaining vlog! Have fun, travel safe😊.
Hello April & Jim, sana’y nasa mabuti kayo. God bless.
Hope you enjoyed ur visit in alberta boss Jimz and madam april specifically in Calgary. Sayang ndi nyo pinuntahan ang lake Louise mas npka Ganda kesa sa moraine lake. God bless you both.
And tama po sinabi ni sir Uber driver alberta has the lowest tax in all the provinces and number 1 in terms of hourly wage. But still choice nyo p din ni madam kung san nyo gsto talaga.
Hello! 😃
oi, ive been watching your videos. whats your plans while your here? or naka uwi na kau sa BC? its stampede week july 7-16, enjoy and let me know if you guys need a hand here in Calgary.
@@Jimmyboyz haha. sabi ko na sa Canada Day pa yun video nyo eh. anyways, maybe next time target nyo yun Stampede week. ika nga the Greatest Show on earth! 😂
Just subscribed. Syanga pala, I’m from Regina, SK. Katabing province ng Alberta
To be honest, Canada is not for all. Welcome to Calgary and enjoy.
Guys BTW, tamang tama ang Calgary Stampede starts on July 7 - 16, 2023, The Biggest Rodeo in Canada. Put on your Cowboy gear and enjoy! God is really so Good All the time.
@@Jimmyboyz Weather Sunshine and Outdoors > Ipon. There is a reason property values hindi tumataas sa Alberta. Besides marami paraan para kumita pera without exchanging your time.
Nasa BGC kayo hahaha naligaw ba kunwari hndi Dubai ah ,thanks for watching you at kahit papano.nakikita namin vlogss nyo in different places where you are in Canada and am soo happy para bang nasa Canada rin ako wowww kunwari Kasama ko kayo naglilibot hahahaha, nangarap ako nang gising .ingat lagi dyan lalona na c misis mo kabayan bka madagit nang taga ryan Canada hehehe joke joke.god bless
Kuyang Uber that’s wrong, aren’t you working? Or even if you are working wlang 1k per child na nakukuha sa child tax benefits, I been here for more than 23 years wala na akong narinig na 1k per child not unless your child has a disability,’wag maniwala sa sabi- sabi
Keep on posting videos🙏
Baka nalimutan sabihin ni uber driver na 1k for 3 kids 😜. Kaloka. Or yun nga baka may disability ung bata kaya may extra ayuda from gobyerno. ✌️
