Jesus doesn't necessarily equate himself with the Father. He could also be offering the parable in light of 'the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does...;
I picked up one of his books at a garage sale. One of the best books I've ever read. Yep, taxation is still theft & the state isn't the inherent authority of the galaxy.
