I wish Dr Bailey was still alive so I could thank him for this message! His work has had a deep impact upon me since the 1980s when I first encountered his books. So much of our understanding of the Scriptures has been westernised and couched in legal terms and we too often fail to absorb the deep personal and relationship issues that are being presented in them. Thank you, Dr Bailey, for breathing 'fresh air' into 'the debate' by drawing on your experience and understanding of middle eastern society!
