Years ago, before I lost 3/4 of my vision, I started an English paper hexagon quilt. My aim was to do 2000 hexagons, all different fabrics by the year 2000. Well I still haven’t finished it! I haven’t stitched much since 2017 when I lost most of my vision but I am finding my way back and have picked up needle and thread. I have been binge watching you and you inspire me so much. Bonus IIS that you are Aussie like me. Thank you Corrine.🌻

It is too bad pics can’t be posted. I found a bunch of very vintage embroidered quilt blocks at a yard sale. I’m from Canada and we love our yard sales. Anyway they were from 1937-39 era. When a girl was getting married her friends and family members would each do a block with a beautiful flower or bird etc as well as their name and the year on their block. Then meet and have a quilting bee to put it together. Well I decided to try and return as many of the blocks as I could to the girls families. I managed via Facebook to return about 12 or so blocks. The people were so happy to receive a bit of their mom or grandmothers handy work. But I was the real winner I connected with people from as far away as two provinces all the way to the aster coast. It was pretty amazing.

OMG! How do you thread a piece of calico that fast and know that it's .... calico? I'd argue that's mad skills!! And thanks for showing the seam allowance!! Now, I sort of regret cutting the b&w colonial toile fabric for my packs!! Oh well, living & learning.... Thank you!!
