CONGRATATIONS to you on your sponsorship!!! You deserve it so much. You are the most talented instructor on RU-vid. I love your tutorials and have made an item for each one of them. Your voice is so soothing and your demonstrations are very clear and concise. I love this new yarn. I am excited to order it. Thank you from your number one fan!
I've had this one already in my Fiber Spider folder on my phone and today I saw it passing by again when I was just a bit scrolling on RU-vid. And when I was watching some TV tonight, I kept thinking about this project, it keeps running through my head, and all of a sudden, I stood up, looking for some good yarn. And now I am sitting down, with my yarn and hook, and beginning on this amazing project, with one of my favourite crochet teacher, Craig! So....with no further ado, let's get started!😃 Greets and a big hug 🤗 from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Back again to this video for my 3rd Lace Embrace Shawl. I keep making them for myself and my family falls in love with them. This one is for a Grand daughter's 14th birthday and I still need to replace mine, that my daughter latched onto last month. This one is ferris wheel morning java. I made one in imaginary garden that my mom fell in love with. My favorite was the green one...forest or something like that. I hope I have a couple more cakes in my stash. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creation!!
Just recently found you and I’m doing this one with you. I’ve fancied this pattern for ages but I watched your video part 1 and 2 through and you explained the procedure so well I decided to have a good. Just finished this part so quickly I’m now going to go over to art 2. Thank you very much. Bye 💁🏼♀️
I’ve only just found you and I’m onto my second project of yours I love your tutoring and how easy you are too follow I’m in Australia and eagerly await your videos 🙏😀
Hello!! I just found you on pinterest while searching for a pattern that would fit my skill level and some yarn I've had laying around for a special project. You are AMAZING! I call you my Bob Ross of crochet , I love listening to you ALL the way through your videos. Thank you for your wonderfully explained and patient tutorials.
You are very good at teaching I love how you explain everything and you have a pleasant voice and demeanor thank you so much for sharing this beautiful pattern. You are a great crocheter God bless you❤️😃
I love your video tutorials. Your instructions are so clear and you are so patient. I am working on this shawl now and its looking pretty good. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning. I have never seen a shawl quite as beautiful as this. I cannot wait to start this absolutely gorgeous project. Love, Love, Love all of your tutorials.
Congratulations on your Lion Brand sponsorship! I do agree with some of the comments regarding the screen size and color of the yarn/background especially for those who need to work from a brighter screen. Thank you for listening to the feedback.
The yarn is beautiful; I need to get some. The project is beautiful and fun to do. Thank you again for your great tutorials and to Lion Brand for sponsoring you.
Thank you for being such a superb teacher. You are so clear with your instructions and videos. I have crocheted a number of your shawls now in various yarns and colors. They are so much fun to crochet and so beautiful when complete. Looking at written patterns are somewhat over whelming but after watching your videos i know i can do it. While I’m making one I’m already looking for the next one to make. I have been giving them to the ladies at my mothers nursing home and the look of joy that lights up their faces when they see them is priceless. Thank you for making this possible. Keep up the great work.
Hello😃👋 just want to let you know that I've just finished this fantastic project. It turns out awesome and feels so warm and fluffy. I just used a thicker yarn with a bigger size hook, and I'm really over the moon with it. And of course want to thank you again, Craig 🤗 🙏 ❤️ Greet and hugs from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 byebye and have a great weekend to all of you😀
It's music to ones ears, hearing you say thank you to my sponsor, It's long overdue. I have to admit that it's 6 am, and I've had another sleepless night. But I finished another Brenna shawl of yours and I have another to finish. I hate to say that the virus pattern isn't for me, just as the granny isn't for some. I like the granny ,so I'll wait for your next pattern. But I couldn't pass up the chance to say well done xx😊💞💕
Love all your tutorials ... you really explain with all your helpful tips . One thing that you can emprove is to answer questions concerning your tutorials. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
OK, so I love this pattern....Gonna start over with thinner yarn.. I started it with yarn that I already have.. ...LOL LOL LOL and so my Grand Daughter will have...a shawl for her American Girl doll..because it is really thick and small..but sooo pretty!
Craig, we are so happy for you, Lion Brand got it right :D I am so excited to make this shawl. It is so pretty. Thank you for your endless work in doing these tutorials for us!
I have deliberately avoided making shawls for myself or anyone else, until now, I was drawn to this Lace Embrace Shawl like a moth to a flame. I fought to resist, but I couldn’t resist. This pattern is unique, i have fallen in like with it, and the choice of yarn - very attractive. This will be my first ever shawl. Oh my goodness, see what you’ve done!
Just finished making this shawl. I love it! Thank you for the clear instructions. The pattern is lovely and I really enjoyed crocheting it. The Ferris Wheel yarn is so yummy. I really like it. I used the colorway Cotton Candy. It is magical. Thanks again for the pattern and the precise instructions.
The most beautiful words: ten double crochets into the chain space! ;-) I love this pattern, it is logical and easy enough but certainly not boring. My summer shawl!
I loved the virus/granny shawl that I made from your tutorial. This shawl looked similar and gorgeous so I am giving it a try right along with your video. I love the way that you explain things so well. Thank you so much!
Love the shape of this shawl! I'm almost finished with my very 1st Virus Shawl so thankfully, this shawl pattern will be easier for me. Thank you and congratulations once again!😊
Wunderbar!!! 🤗 I have made many virus shawls...all pretty much a variable of another 🙄 I want to make a Summer shawl for my brother's lady friend for her birthday...and I think this is going to be it. 🥰 I have a lovely cotton/bamboo blend in teal that I think will make a nice, comfortable Summer shawl...live in Florida, so cotton it is! 😉 I may not have enough teal...so might add peach and an off white...sort of sorbet colors...Miami Beach colors 🙂 Thank you for this pattern.🤗
Thank you for another great tutorial! I love the ferris wheel yarn, the colors are beautiful and they have nice color changes.I think the show would also look beautiful made up in Lion Brand shawl in a ball or cake.
Loved the look of this so much that I immediately bought some Ferris Wheel yarn in this color. In the middle of making it now and I am loving this yarn and pattern. The neckline is really classy looking. I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite shawls. Thanks!
Stunning. Thank you so much. Luv the way this one drapes. A blessing for not falling off the shoulders. Thanks once again. Maybe a white background might help a bit, as it is a bit dark.
That yarn looks gorgeous😍, so happy to see it in a finished project form. I wish you would have put you wearing the shawl in the thumbnail, it looks so much better on someone than just lying on a table, very pretty pattern tho.
Beautiful shawl but I’m struggling with the smaller screen , could you possibly have it full screen pls I would love to make this but unfortunately it’s very hard to see properly what you are doing ,,, thank you I love your channel 💞
Please record in portrait mode Fiber, this way when we try to enlarge the picture it fills the screen & it is not so difficult for us to see. Otherwise as always great tutorial!♡♡♡
AnnieRUOk RuOkAnnie I agree. The hooks that your using now are darker , and although I'm not a fan of the virus personally. I did listen to this tutorial, All was perfect ,apart from the fact this was hard to see. if you are using darker yarns, this picture size made this a hard one to see alot. and that's such a shame . I'm sorry xx💞😊
So happy for you!!!! I just bought some yarn that is very similar to the same color. My intention was to make the Glorious Granny shawl but you got thinking!!!!
Well I finished mine, I used over 5 skeins of premier yarns sweet roll in the color of peanut butter swirl, each skein was 5 oz/245 yards #4 and 100% acrylic
Love this pattern and the way the shawl drapes. The only way I can see what you are doing is to click the ZOOM button. I am glad that Lion Brand is sponsoring you. I am looking forward to getting a written pattern.
@@docgregg2 While the video is playing, there is a small square box. If you tap that box, it makes the screen a little larger. To go back to the original screen, tap on the right side of the screen if you don't see the little box then tap on that small box when it shows up.
Ordered my yarn, can't wait to start! Have to watch on Roku>RU-vid because screen is too small on mobile. Can you upload full screens? Thx for your contributions.
My suggestion to those having difficulty with the smaller window:- on IOS anyway I have figured out using the Magnifier (Settings, Accessibility& ZOOM-make sure the CONTROLLER is set to show the wee wheel on your screen at all times)- resize the lens & Resize the Window of it as big as you want -I make it fit the window). Easiest way to exit is tip the iph or ipad to vertical to carry on normal in RU-vid. Voilá
Ferris Wheel Yarn, Each 85 gram cake has a generous 270 yarns, Yarn Weight 4 Medium in the beginning he says he used 4 cakes. that is 1,080 yards. correct? knowing this info is helpful to me.. i want to make this so figured the best place to keep this info was here.... Love that you put up time stamps....
Fiber Spider..you are an amazing teacher. This is an amazing shawl, especially for older people as it stays on better. I made my first one with the weight 4 yarn, however I prefer to use a weight 2 or 3 yarn as it is easier on my hands. I made a second shawl using a weight 3 but the collar part was way to small. So I tried doubling the chain count to 82 chains rather than 42. Worked great as the collar part is bigger but the shawl got too frilly in the body. Could you possibly come up with the chain count for using a lighter yarn weight for me. I would really appreciate it as I am now in Florida for the winter and need a light weight shall......CHEERS
This is my favorite "Spider Pattern". (I single crochet a couple times around the neck edge and add fringe all around the bottom). Can't find a free pattern for a "Pocket Shawl". At each end of the shawl rectangle, there is a pocket- to warm your hands; or to put a book, for reading in the cool winter evenings. Thought it would be a welcome gift for my reader cousins and friends. Patterns I've seen use larger yarn size. Some are crochet, some knit. I'm sure you could come up with a tutorial of your own design that many of us would enjoy making. THANKS!
Just as a reference could you tell me how tall you are. It would help me to know so I can make it for someone shorter. You look quite tall!! Congratulations on the sponsorship! It’s about time someone grabbed you
