Hey, Robin. Thanks for the video! I love how this looks. I prefer ponchos, so I'm always looking for shawl patterns that can be converted into a poncho. For some reason, I couldn't leave a regular comment. No omnibox was available at the bottom of my screen, so I left my comment here. ❤
Hey! I love Your videos, you made an amigurumi jellyfish pattern around 3 years ago, and I want to make them to sell in an Etsy shop. I was wondering if you’d like me to credit you for the pattern 🥰
Oh, this so excites my little heart! I've been hoping for this to become a thing, since we talked about it several tutorials back. yay!! ♥ Thank you for all of your time, work and dedication to providing so many fantastic tutorials, Robin! You are so very appreciated.
When I first started crocheting I thought a linen (moss) stitch shawl would be a good place to start, but I was always so mixed up with the chain spaces and the center point of the shawl that I gave up on it. Honestly wish your video was around then, because this is clear, concise, and makes me want to take a crack at this kind of shawl again. Thank you❣️ 💌💌💌 🧶
Oh, Robin, I just got done doing a yarn project with another person who had me confused at times. It is a breath of fresh air listening to you teach. Your length of time explaining and doing is perfect for me. Now to find some yarn in my stash to do this beautiful shawl. I think I love the edging the most.
You are such a good teacher. This pattern has confused me forever but you made it so clear. Thank you for having your camera close to your fingers, I can't tell you how much that helps. Thank you for a great video 😍
Oh Robin you are wonderful. I've been waiting for the right pattern for me to make a shawl. I've never made a wearable and thought a shawl would be an easy way to start. I can't wait to try this pattern. Wish me luck, I'm going to give this a go! Have a great day.
This is a beautiful shawl and I'm excited to make it my next project. Thanks for giving the detailed instructions and giving the corrective information for individual crocheting. It's very helpful for us newer crocheters and definitely helps build expertise.
After trying my luck with 3 different tutorials for the lovely moss stitch I went back to your solid granny shawl (for the 3rd time in one month) because the maths was wrong and the yarn was falling apart... I was really hoping you'd come up with this one because your patterns always work! Thank you
Robin, it's coming along beautifully, you are a true gem of dependable patterns, clear instructions and such generous talent. THANK YOU!! Btw when I said the maths was wrong , I meant the construction of the foundation row and the increases did not allow skipping a sc and landing on a ch1 sp in the other tutorials-it's the differential 2sc ch2 2 sc on the bottom, 2csch12sc onthe corners and 1 sc ch2 1sc combo that makes this work. I don't even qualify as a rookie in crocheting (though I learnt it from my granny when I was 8 who was a true master of all things with yarn, but I have 35 yrs of experience in huge spreadsheets that go all the way from Istanbul to London, so I know how patterns should work. And if they don't work in 1 row chances are they will propogate, so best not to copy and paste or try to wing it and just go back and redo the wrong stitch before it becomes too painful:) happy crocheting, ALL!
I have crocheted since 1967 and I love this pattern. I now consider this one of my go to patterns for special gifts and possible sales. When I work up a portfolio like I had as a photographer,, this will most certainly go into it. No pattern can replace my favorite, the navajo or as it is called today the mosaic, but it comes very close in the top 10 if not top 5. Thank you Robin.
Ms..Robin, your always getting me in trouble with my other wips.(And husband) so many beautiful paterns so little time. Tyty for making this stitch easy to understand. Huggs
The production you put into your videos is amazing! Seeing the thumbnails for each of your tutorials definitely inspires me to learn something new from you! So, thank you.
I'm currently crocheting a bunch of moon granny squares to eventually turn into a blanket. This moss stitch shawl looks like another fun project to start. I will use 100% cotton yarn and a 5mm hook. Successfully distracted! 😄
Gorgeous I adore it I’ve made so many shawls and capelet s for my family friends and moi lol Right now I’m making your rectangle shawl with the beautiful big scalloped edges in denim colours for my friend to wear when she’s on her dock by the lake 😀I pray she likes it and uses it mucho 👍♥️
This really makes me wish I hadn't already decided to make a moss stitch scarf, lol! I'm a third of the way through it. Ah well, there's always next time - because this shawl will be in my future!
Love it!! Sooo beautiful!! Robin you always do the best put 2gether with beautiful colors!!!🩷🩷 Thanks for always replying to my questions & comments!!😊
Hello Robin, This is gorgeous ❣❣❣, I see myself making a few in different Lion Brand 'Landscape' colors 😃. Thank you, thank you 😁,for another fun and easy project.
This looks great. Would love it if you did a shallow shawl tutorial. Even if not a full shawl. It would be really helpful to best understand where to put inceases to shape it differently.
@@HookedbyRobin I have a ? When you change skeins, do you tie off at the end of a row, and start a new skein, or do you tie them together with a Russian knot, and continue?
@susangetzschman4029 with this chunky roving type yarn I simply added the next ball (where ever it ran out) by tying the 2 ends, leaving long tails and weaving them in - I didn't trust the magic knot for this slippery yarn! X
Enjoyed making this, and I did a slip stitch edge on the triangle section so it didn't become wavy or too loose and then three rows on the straight edge in single crochet. Worked really well. Going to add tassels too. Thanks for another great tutorial. Crocheting from Tasmania ❤😊
Hallelujah! Excellent video tutorial - clear, easy to understand audio, really well shot against a plain background, with very clear image of all stitches and actions. First rate and I am now subscribed. Thank you!
Wow Robin this is so beautiful 😍 lady your so so talented! Thank you. I made a bag using the moss stitch. So cute but I never seen it done like this. Nice❤❤🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶😍🧶 Happy Wednesday ❤
Hi Robin love your tutorials I've just started this one in left over scraps of dk yarn with a 5mm hook it's working up a treat. Thank you for your time and effort. Jo xx
I love that yarn, I think I might know what Santa might be leaving this Christmas. If the corners twist could the tassels be used to weight them straight??
Just popped in to catch up with you Robin! Never a disappointment! (Love that yarn!)Saved in my Library so I can take advantage of it later! Thanks so much, as always and forever, for all you do for us❣️
Hello, Robin - I see from a couple of the most recent comments that you're OK and will be doing more videos. I'm so glad; I really like your style of teaching, and you also have a lovely voice. I have to be very careful what I choose to crochet, because my hands can get quite cranky, so I try to make sure to save working my hands for projects I enjoy - and you always deliver! ;-) Hope you are doing well, and I'm looking forward to hearing and watching your lovely videos again Soon(tm) LOL
Hi Kat, thank you so much for your lovely message.🥰 I am doing well thank you, all the house stuff just took way longer than I had planned. My hands get cranky too! I have to have breaks, I’m glad you’re enjoying my projects though.😃
Hooked by Robin I love your shawl it's absolutely gorgeous, I'm making one for my Mom for winter, I'm think I'm almost finished with it, it's quite big... huge 🥰 thank you so much for sharing the moss stitch I absolutely love love it 🥰❤️
@@HookedbyRobin I believe I will! We just moved from WA state to Michigan and my yarn is still packed in totes. But by the time I get it unpacked it will be a great project to do for the cool days of fall. I have to re watch your video to see how much yarn it will take? If I’m not mistaken I have 2 of those yarn skeins. Thankx Robin throughly enjoy your content and projects 🧶😎
Yay!😃I know that one, we are moving and quite a bit of my yarn is packed up. I used 7 balls of Lion Brand Landscapes yarn in the colour way "Coral Reef". I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos.🥰
Its me again, your (least) favourite pita with my endless questions and general aid of no idea what I'm doing.... I've got a normus moss-stitch-plus-other-things-when-got-bored shawl but want to make sure I leave enough yarn to do a couple of rounds of border. Is there any magic formula or d'you just leave 1/4 ball or 1/2 or...? Its not a huge deal - I might do a solid colour border, not decided yet - but I just want to make sure I leave enough and please Miss, help Miss. Fang you, Miss 🤗 And seriously, you are a FANTASTIC teacher of this. No dis to anyone else but for whatever reason, you get me from a to b to oooh look, Amazing Thing, instead of my previous a to f then back to c and onto a great big mess and sulking. Thank you so much ❤
@@HookedbyRobin Oh, most definitely! I need to hurry and finish this blanket I'm doing so I can start this beautiful shawl! Thanks so much for all you do!
I've been practicing learning different stitches using your videos because you're the easiest to follow along with since you go nice and slow for us super beginners who are just starting out. Maybe some day you might consider doing a video on how to make a book sleeve cover? I see so many neat designs but many of the channels are hard to follow for different reasons.
Hi Lauren, I’m glad you’re enjoying the stitches. I never say never but at the moment I’m still in house move/unpacking mode, so I haven’t thought about new videos yet.🤗🧶
Sooooooo pretty! Wow! I keep saying I have to make a shawl! My family keeps asking me to make them stuff. Lol! Im making dog and cat blankets right now. Lol! Then I will get to making a shawl! Love shawls but I am not a fan of Ponchos.
Hey Robin! these videos are so helpful, could you do more amigurumi videos? You're the only channel that makes good videos for amigurumi. Can't wait for you to come back, thx for all the help :)
When it comes to crochet RU-vid tutorials she is the G.O.A.T lol. PS, when are we going to get a Cam..EO 🤪 (oh Laura 🤦🏻♀️) and a Robin live Q&A again?? 😬😬🙏🏻🙏🏻 xx
