Here’s my first vlog I’ve ever made! I wanted to document this special journey. We’ve been carefully planning this breeding for a long time and i can’t believe the time is here!
Why did I use the filtered water in glass jars?
TWO Main important reasons:
1. The mineral balance in tap water varies by location and is often different. Sometimes sudden changes in the mineral balance of water can upset a dog’s system or give them loose stool for a little while until they adjust. I wanted to eliminate this as a potential stressor or factor so I decided to bring my own water.
2. ANYTIME plastic gets heated or hot, it leaches toxic phytoestrogens into whatever it contains- whether that’s water in a plastic bottle, food heated in a microwave etc.. I’ve started only using glass as much as possible whenever there’s a chance it could get heated. Phytoestrogens mimic estrogen but aren’t, of course, the authentic hormone. This makes the body think there’s more estrogen than there actually is and it responds accordingly. This can really disrupt the endocrine system and throw off hormone balance… which causes a number of other health issues. While it’s important in general for my health and Cheyenne’s, it was especially important to me on this trip because we’re planning to breed and I didn’t want that to potentially be a factor of interfering with her hormones.
