MonoTracer of Switzerland have regular training days for new MonoTracer pilots or those who are interested in buying one. We use gas as well as electric MonoTracers, so people can compare the two. All vehicles have the yellow training axles mounted. We have instructors who speak german, english, french, italian, thai and romansh (look it up!) Costs are 200 Euros for the basic one-day-training-course. We do not train fast riding, it's all about the safe operation of the outrigger system, to get familiar with all the controls and to learn slow speed handling for instance in the slow slalom shown. "Flying is landing" somebody once said. Well, then cabin motorcycle riding is taking off, slow speed handling and landing. And about having fun, learning new things and meeting new friends!

i soooo wish these enclosed motorcycles become a mainstream standard, i like divining motorcycles but you cant do it in a t-shirt :) or on a rainy day good job on not putting a car steering wheel inside!

So I think this is a unique vehicle, and I would love to see them mass produced at an affordable price. I think there’s a tremendous market for something like this, they just need to get this product out there.

I see the driver has to push the button to make the landing gear go up or down. Isn’t there a computer sensor that will release the landing gear to a certain angle or full down when the Moto senses a speed or rpm decrease or up on increase In speed, the system senses a certain speed or certain turn angle to make the MotoRacer more safe. In other words it adjusts to the riders input in turn angle and speed. And one can put it on Auto or manual as the driver gets more confident. I for one will keep it on auto. Reflexes are always late on inputs by about 1.5-2 seconds.

You right they been trying to sale this for the last... For that price you can buy a new car. It will be sitting there long time just like its been doing making no money. When they cut the price and i mean Waaaay down lots of people will buy

i think this product is fascinating but i realize that something that cost over 60000 euro and require specialized training to be performed as a normal everyday vehicle is simply conceptually wrong projected with a bmw engine or like in this case with an electric engine. Where is the value and utility that worth that money? With less than 60000 bucks Tesla model S is an interesting choice by hand for have something really special or comparing strange vehicles of same caliber I think far more useful and interesting the Linx, the electric evolution of carver 1 that today is a closed factory but his tilt patent are still operative and functional, and, of course as old carver demonstrate, works better than the two wheeled foldable supportive braces... I appreciate the effort in the development of this product made by peraves and I follow really interested every progress but I don't see technical and economical sense and advantage in a stuff like this. It remember me in a certain way the acabion and other beautiful traps not airplane not car and not motorcycle... '60 & '70wheeled human missile better refined? too long interaxe through the wheels, too long radius required for steering... design is not quite there, it is a style exercise at the moment... do re-project by italian mind with same basis and you get a little miracle as usual in this world.

1: The £80k tag comes from the fact that it's made from kevlar and moulded through man hours. Not the Toyota robots Tesla has. 2: these have been around since the 80s as the Eco-Mobile. Named so for getting 75mpg out of the BMW engine. Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear took a spin in one. If it can navigate narrow european roads, the turning radius is just fine. 3: it has always been the mission of Peraves to make a cheaper version of this. However, people will need to raise awareness and stir up investment interest. So stop spouting that BS like you're a top engineer and help the cause.

Sinistaar kevlar... ha ha ha ridiculous, undefendable position, and tank is filled with champagne, they also lubricate ball bearings with caviar and windshield spry use only Chanel N4 for best results... Come on, Wake up, It is a mono-product firm..., They only do that kind of toy, they produce or maybe assemble only ONE body hardware type, with, perhaps, little or no variants to accommodate the engine; the engine itself is bought by BMW or other partners electric components. Of course they can do scale economy for mass production if they trust their product and want to push it on the big numbers market, but they simply don't want to, because the real thing is that their business is low in volume and insane in margins, they are simply Greed and near totally out of market as this school well demonstrate. They require preorder with a contract, then they buy row materials and finally deliver at the appointed time with minimum customization available to the customer for such level of price, such price because it is not a tailored vehicle you pay, you decide and you can get everything you want, it is an industrial product sold as if tailored. Even a prototype made once should not cost like that. For instance, other given example an Elio Motor cost 6800$= 4982,19€ brand new, of course it has to be preordered, but, the price is even conveniently aligned with what you get. How many liters gasoline you can buy or spare for difference in price... and, as on a bike, if a cat cross your way very likely you find yourself on the ground with your missile...

Im not sure if this has been answered, but can anyone tell me why it doesnt control like a normal 2 wheel vehicle, i.e no counter steering? normally I have the impression on a bike of pressing the right bar to go right, and vice versa. but it seems that they're turning much more similar to a 4wheel vehicle, standard turn left to go left. intrigues me. thanks

I think that it depends on wether or not the stabilizers are out. When they are out, this is basically a 4 wheel drive vehicle, therefore you have to drive it like a normal 4 wheel vehicle (not exactly like a car because obviously you have two wheels in a line, and two outside wheels), but when you put the stabilizers away, this become a motorcycle (with very long wheelbase), so you then have to drive it with counter steering just like a bike.

***** Speed has a big part to play, they are going fairly slow, so no counter steering, or much of it. He said the rest before me.. Just don't try to filter with this ?

I understand that, but from what videos i've watched, I can't really see any counter steering going on, even at higher speeds. it just looks bizarre to me.

Josh Whitwell Your right there isn't much, but they are much longer than a normal bike too, that may have something to do with it. This is a play toy for someone to get money on, if it had two wheels up front the problems would be solved, and it would drive more like a car as well, being much more stable in the process, and no need for special training. Some people will not like me saying this, but it's true.

So I think you’re missing point here. This is an in-line 2 wheel vehicle that is enclosed like a car, and yet provides the experience of a motorcycle. So the type of vehicle you’re talking about with 2 wheels up front and one in the back or 2 wheels in the back and 1 in the front, there are already vehicles like that on the market. So the mono tracer is a new category of 2 wheeled vehicles.
