It has been an insane week. I wanted to get this up sooner but life and family was where my attention was at.
That being said. This is part 2 of the Sakura D4 front end redo. In the last video I installed the Usukani front bulkhead for the RWD Sakura D4. Now it's time to install that killer looking and working curved slide rack!
Taking your time is the key on this one. you may have to remove it 10 times to get it setup right but once it is setup it works amazing!
Check out the install and I tried to make the video as short as possible but this one took some install time. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
I picked up the Usukani bulkhead from Randy Beard at Rare Arts in California and the sliderack and wire hold down was from RCMart.com

Hey tim, been awhile since I have been on (MonarkClothing on IG) we talked some time back about your roof racks. Glad to have found this video! Wanted to ask if you ever wanted to re-address some points in the video to make the install easier!? Pre build the slide unit outside of the car and then you can easily access and adjust the frontal set screws to avoid needing to drill out your beautiful carbon deck. When installing into the car, you can just take off the rear two pivot points as they are set into place and don't require adjustment. Also on the actual slide member, you can pre install the center and left arm (if looking from the front) and slide the unit in and then installing only 2 screws for the other arm to lock it into place once you have installed the rear bearing set screws. Makes life much easier for all and especially to those of us with fat fingers. Also, using locktite on all metal/metal set screws will ensure nothing vibrates and loosens itself up or in worst cases falls out while driving (both from my own bad experience.) Finding those little balls is not easy... Then, by using the lightest amount of grease in the bearing sockets or recesses, it will hold the balls in place safely while the unit is being installed into the chassis. Also, possibly addressing the knuckles and what adjustments need to be made to the steering wiper links to ensure proper ackerman and toe. Quick question unrelated to the slide rack that I installed thanks to your help! But I was wondering if the usukani lower arms fit the stock bulkhead?

+Maximo Ramirez the Usukani lower arms should fit. You might have to use shims but they should fit as your mounting spots go those don't change. I am currently testing a set of the TGames arms on it.

So I heard with the slide rack some screws supplied with the kit are not long enough and you need to source out some longer ones is this true?

+Maximo Ramirez I have seen posts talking about this. The wide bearings rest on an aluminum sleeved nut. Because you have to take it on and off a few times to get it perfect people have been striping those little nuts. They have screws top and bottom. If you strip it you have to have a longer screw to go all the way through. My recommendation is don't really tighten those ones down to hard until you have it all set in place. They are not the adjusting ones. I guess in the same breath the same can happen to the front ones to. So just snug things in place until you figure out exactly where it all gets setup. I always go with the rule snug is tight, tight is broken. Hope that helps.
