5HT on gastric glands increases the production of HCL through parietal cells you are giving opposite facts if am correct, In general, serotonin OR 5HT has been found to stimulate gastric acid secretion through the activation of certain serotonin receptors, specifically the 5-HT4 receptors. Activation of 5-HT4 receptors on parietal cells in the stomach lining leads to an increase in gastric acid production. On the other hand, there are also serotonin receptors known as 5-HT3 receptors that, when activated, can have inhibitory effects on gastric acid secretion. These receptors are often found on neurons and other cells in the gastrointestinal tract
