I wish I had you around to help me build my b18c. I don’t have an ego and don’t mind women knowing more about engine builds.👍🙌🏾🙌🏾

The anxiety on those headstuds was REAL. I can relate because had a timing belt tensioner bolt threads come out of block before. So if ya know ya know. Nice Work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Yes ma’am 👍🏻. Yeah it happened to me on a CRX Si (My first Honda build) many years ago. Funny how the ANXIETY and flashbacks still happen years later. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Been there on pulling the threads out on a head-torque. My stomach just dropped when I went from 80lbs to nothing. Worst feeling ever!

Are you ever gonna do a follow up on the surge tank when you get the car back

Why 90ft lbs, thought it was 81ft lbs for arps. Great content 👌
@Aisha_LadyBuilt

Thank you! My head studs are L19s and the torque for them is 90 ft lbs :) I believe regular ARP head studs is 80 ft lbs torque.

How much is that digital husky torque wrench? Do you trust it for work ,professionally?
@Aisha_LadyBuilt
@Aisha_LadyBuilt Год назад
I honestly don't remember, but not as bad as Snap On lol. I have compared the readings to other torque wrenches, and it's been consistent. If you mean high quantity professionally, then maybe I'd invest in something top of the line, but for my occasional use it works :)

When you tighten your cam-caps, do you use TDC, or an alternate position where all the pistons are mid-travel? Thanks!
@Aisha_LadyBuilt
@Aisha_LadyBuilt Год назад
That is a really good question! Before I put the head on the block, I usually put the pistons in the mid-travel position so none are at the top of the block. Then I don't move the piston position until I'm ready to put the timing belt on. So to answer your question, the pistons are in the mid-travel position when I tighten the cam caps :)
