Owner/Driver/Builder of a Turbocharged B Series 1997 Honda Civic Hatchback
I have a passion for cars, and I love modifying them to make it my own masterpiece. I do the work on my car in my home garage, I love doing the work myself. I find it very hard to pay someone to do something that I am capable of doing myself. I also find that if I do something myself the outcome is exactly how I want it to be. Its also a sense of self-achievement to set a goal and complete it.
I have plans to post videos about my car and myself, install videos, and possibly vlog type videos.
They literally give you a black tool that you can easily push in the line to round the hose back out if it crushes a little after cutting. You can also use it to secure the ferrule on to the hose nice tight and straight.
Well done! You're awesome! A little off topic, but before your video a RU-vid ad came up, where 2 grown men advertise how easy it is to schedule an appointment to do a minor car repair. Such a contrast to see a beautiful woman doing care mechanics! Well done, again!
I hate this video so much... Very informative and well sorted but holy hell my axles REFUSED to come off and seeing how yours popped off infuriate me lol great video
i have a g37 and it only feels very fast when i have over a half tank. if it gets down to like 1/4 if feels sluggish. i want pressure and this seems like a great way but i really didnt want to buy one of these things and do all that seems like drifters and guys with 800hp need this. i just want to feel like i have pressure to my fuel rail. i saw another video the guy was installing the thing under the seat in the tank i think i mean it just seems like theres got to be a way around all this. if its replace the pump which is 14 years old now and just keep more gas then ok maybe i have a bad part? regulator i have no idea what the pressure is at. its always been this way as long as i can remember if i bought a full tank of gas it felt way faster then when i was below half. noticable everytime. i have no idea why that would be maybe there is air maybe thats how g37s are. for years i always felt like i had to keep a full tank of gas. but thats crazy. i like the whole idea behind this but lets face it im not bolting things to my car. help me out please. maybe theres a practical solution. 2010 g37x
Can you come up to Virginia and help me remove mine? 😆 Jk, I love this video and the bit you talk about the hydraulic release bearing was helpful. I'll be installing my first soon!
Hey Aisha, great walk-through and install. Very informative. Would suggest getting either rubber edging or just cutting some 1/4" hose in half an laying it over the edge of your aluminum bracket that your hoses are close to. As you hit gas and brake those lines will move slightly and abrade against the metal edge. This addition will protect the hoses from the metal edge.
Hey I'm installing the hydraulic trowout bearing on b series twin disk with gsr like yours, now I didn't put Shims and looks like the throwout bearing leaking , maybe it extended too much. I bought the shims now I'm waiting for arrival. I noticed you put 2 shims? Is that correct? Would it hurt if I put 3? I called clutch master and the guy said normally people put 1-3 shims.. lmk plz
Yep, sounds like it pushed the seal out. The shims are different thicknesses, you have to measure. You can get technical and follow the instructions, or the easiest way is to look through the slave cylinder fork hole and try to measure (guesstimate) with a long screwdriver to get an approximate measure of how many and which shims you should use. Good luck!!
sick video! cool to see other women getting shit done, but have you noticed any issues with the hose from your lift pump sliding off by chance? asking because radiums install instructions had mentioned that the hose needed to be seated and pushed ALL the way down, just curious but other than that great job and great video :)
Aisha you should never suport wheal just a lugnut's while driving, because main waight of the car should rest also on the bearing hub not just a lugnuts. lugnuts there just to hold a wheal on a car, so it's not safe what you are trying to do
Just a little tip, when using the walbro pickup sock instead of the factory Honda sock, you will run out of fuel around a half tank. I always recommend using stock Honda socks to alleviate this issue. Also the reason why the stock sock didn’t work for you Aisha is because those double pump hangers are designed to be used with 2 straight wall pumps such as AEM 340lph pumps, the walbro 450 or 525 that your using is to big.
But it wasn’t going all the way down that’s why they replaced it, I looked up the part # of the hanger they used and it’s the correct one too, I’ll be doing the exact same thing because my hanger is leaking gas so I’ll try to use the oem one to see what happens
