In the second part, we discuss how contemporary licences, patents, and other means of protecting intellectual property are harmful to both the consumer and the producer. We explore how these mechanisms support monopolies and run contrary to free-market principles.
We also talk about our ‘co-opyright license’ project. We describe how we believe a license for copiable products should work, and explain why we expect most producers to move to this type of license in the near future.
