people call me crazy but this is the best fight at 35. this fight if it happens is the best fight to me. I think them 2 in the ring a fight nobody would forget. It would be the most skilled fight in history 💯
I know they've sparred multiple times. But nobody can convince me that in the stuff I've seen in any of the videos between that have been released, either one of them clearly outboxed the other. They both has some good work in spots. Even you say Kur had more cleaner shots, there's nothing in these videos that suggests who would win in a real fight THEN OR NOW.
That just means this was a really good spar, both worked each other and got better. In a fight, maybe the bigger man with bigger shots will win but even then who knows, I certainly don’t.
@@Forever.Remain.Nameless yeah I see that too.. and that’s how boxing gyms are my coach the same way.. shakur had more experience then dev at this point
Good Work from both guys 👏🏾 Both landing solid shots on each other. Not sure why Shakur said he always smoked Devin in sparring cause that definitely looked 50/50 to me 🤷🏾♂️🔥💯💯
He said that to try and get his name out there more, he said that in a recent interview too, he has to separate friendships and business because when devins dad was talking he would take things personally… so now I think their friends but he’s just trying to sell a fight
SHAKUR beat the shit out of DEVIN both sparrings its obvious who landed more and landed the more effective and sharpwr punches DEVIN was hitting gloves and air while SHAKUR keep snapping his head back thats why he was always adjusting his head gear
KUR SAID HE BEAT DEVIN EVERY TIME AND BILL SAID OKAY LET ME UPLOAD FOR THE WORLD TO SEE 😂😂😂😂 SHAKUR GOT OFF, BUT SO DID DEVIN WHO WAS ONLY 16 HERE AND MOST CATS IN THE COMMENTS SAYING DEVIN WON THIS SPARRING STILL IT’S ONLY SPARRING AND DAMN NEAR 8 YEARS AGO THEY BOTH ARE THE FUTURE OF BOXING, ALONG WITH ENNIS BOOTS
Shakur look a lil more Sharpe but Devin only 16 and it still was a 50/50 sparring match, this gone be a dope azz fight whether they meet @135 or 140, it's definitely 50/50
@@keepitastack4993 same goes for Devin, it's like a 2nd yr NBA player and a rookie, you see minor things but it's the same level, you think Shakur improved but Devin didnt?🤔🤨
Yeah right, please stop the 🧢! Pillow hands Haney don't have no power whatsoever to keep any elite fighter off of him.... that's why Devins a weight bully & only fights Caucasians and Hispanic fighter's!! STOP DA 🧢 PLEASE.... 😮
@@Coco-xw3wp it’s not cap 🧢 Shakur is literally going on a press run and only speaking on Devin that’s clout chasing he could literally be talking about his upcoming fight or anything else’s it’s like the only relevant thing he has to speak on is Devin lol
I think the first session was 50/50 and may even lean towards Devin slightly for ring generalship, although it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but in this one I think Shakur CLEARLY controlled the majority of this session. I also think a lot y’all don’t know what you’re watching 😂🤷🏽♂️.
bro even in the first part shakur handled haney better than haney handled shakur. Landing the better more accurate, cleaner punches. Defensively better as well. It’s clear to see that shakur has the better iq and defense atleast during this time.
He said he always got the best of Dev , i'm an older guy, but i still see very well, they both were sparring good, but it was D Haney backing him up, plus they're not teens anymore, i like both of the young men, but Haney is faster today, with real quick hands, if he gets past Loma, i pick him to defeat Shakur, i said that about Loma because, people keep saying D Haney will stop him in 7,8,9, or whatever, or calling the man old, don't forget, an old dog never forget tricks, stop talking like Loma can't fight.
They don’t have to wait until 30. Even late 20s they should be stars. Shakur only like 25 or 26 and Devin just turned 24. Give them like 2 years and they are both superstars
Great sparring and skills. I just don’t understand why the smaller weights classes get caught up in sparring so much. No big weight classes really talk about sparring or getting KOd in sparring even when they naturally have more power.
@@southpawtv6499 how can you avoid someone when you have a fight booked. he's focusing on loma not him yet. That's like Tank not wanting to talk about Devin because he has a fight booked. Let's see their energy when none of them have fights booked
They've sparred Several times over the years as amateurs. No definitive conclusions can be drawn. I don't think there should be any as they were still kids. Both were Very Nice
They Are Both SOO defensively Sound Their Literally Forced To Fight Each Other in a More Aggressive Manner Just To TRY an Gain The LEAD 😂😂 LMAO this is TRULY a 50/50 Fight & Will Be A DRAW when They Meet Gurantee 🤷🏽..... I see a TRILOGY
Shakur, SOUTHPAW TV, AND H no money boxing with bots all lied, and Slander Devin's name, because of jealousy and hate for Bill. Man doesn't have to come on ya channel or pay you. Lmaooo
I understand these are only sparring sessions, however I would say haney brought more pressure in the first one, in this one I would say shakur landed cleaner even while devin was pressing him, but devin did have moments here too. Overall great sparring. In todays time I think they should wait for a fight at least at 147 when they’re older, more mature (physically and mentally), and more popular. I would both fighters do stuff like floyd when he went on dancing with the stars to become more popular.
Devin constantly running into the left check hook head first. Stevenson frontsteps and uppercuts very efficiently - much more effective even though the 16year old Haney boxed a big boy sparring.
I see the same. Shakur alot more composed. He was obviously in there to give Devin work and he wasn't trying to take advantage of the gap. Would definitely like to see a real fight between the 2
Devin for sure had some moments but this wasn’t 50/50 at all. For Devins age he was doing amazing but people that have a good eye and study the game will tell you Shakur got the best of Devin here. If you disagree, rewatch it. You can even count the landed shots. Remember guys hitting someone’s glove and arm isn’t a clean shot. I think that’s where you guys got it confused.
Lol bruh devin was landing the right straight and going over the top of shakur lead hand with the jab ….this was def a 50/50 where they both had they moment …shakur was off the arm and gloves a lot to especially when he tried to use the uppercut …yall need to cut it out 😂 they both would give two and take 2
Its just work shakur could jus be focused on defense more than being on the offensive side, but still throwing shots in. As it looks the shots he gets pretty accurate but devin lookn dooe here
When they actually fight this video will shoot to like a millions views mark my words. Everyone in the boxing world will be dissecting this video and discussing it all the way up to the fight night.
I hope y’all know that being the one who’s coming forward does not mean you’re winning. Shakur is a counter puncher stylistically so of course he not finna be the one moving forward. Haney was moving him back but he was missing a lot meanwhile Shakur was damn near connecting everything and smacking him up.
All the DEVIN fan girls are the only one that believe that DEVIN did anything in these sparrings! SHAKUR landed everytime and DEVIN missed 90/100 of time
If it was an actual fight judges would give it to the aggressor/ the one who’s actually trying to make it a fight. Nine times out of 10 if it’s a close match, it goes to the aggressor, yall keep talking about counter punches & cleaner landed punches when judges will give it to who thew the most punches when it’s a close fight
That’s the whole reason yall say Haney got robbed against Loma, clean scoring punches isn’t what always matters, judges like to get you being aggressive whether you’re landing or not. All that backing up and counter punching will cause you to lose rounds. punches landed or missed doesn’t matter as much as you think. If it’s a close fight it goes to the aggressor. Haney wins off aggression. It’s a fight at the end of the day. It’s a rough sport, you need aggression to win, all that cute, footwork and pitty pat tap punches and shoulder rolling, means nothing of you’re staying out of range never engaging. Everybody wants to be like Floyd when Floyd was actually aggressive at times and thew combinations in close range
Shakur acts as though he dominated Devin. It looks like great work by both. I don’t see ShaKur besting Devin. I think Devin beats Shakur in a really fight especially right now. Shakur also said he will make easy against Devin, I think BS. You ain’t stopping Devin Jap or pressure, speed, defensive efficiency and counters. They’re both good at those skills. I think the difference maker in this fight is their will to win which Devin has.
Bro did we watch the same thing this was a good a match but shakur was definitely getting the better of devin and at this time devin was 2 weight division ahead of shakur look how much bigger he was but shakur defense and combinations were impressive
@@Regular.com2 age doesn’t have any to do with weight even tho shakur was 2 years older than devin he was a featherweight at time and devin was a lightweight that’s like a 10 lbs difference just look at how much bigger the younger Haney was compared to shakur
5:07 that’s the same counter uppercut shakur used against Valdez and conceicao devin ate it with the headgear but without headgear and 8oz gloves he’s gonna feel that punch 💯
I think Shakur was just a little more accurate with the Punch I think Devin Haney way more experience now and it wouldn't be like that anymore 💪🏿💪🏿💯 Good sparing
Haney was 16 against an 18yr Shakur and y’all think Shakur gon beat this dude ,,I’ll put all my money on haney for sure ,,haney vs Shakur is gonna be about moments and haney is gonna have the most moments in that fight with pressure ,body shots, jab and power shots ,,,I don’t care what anyone thinks
Definitely not 50/50. You can tell Shakur was there to give Devin work. Steel sharpens steel, but if they fought forreal it would be very interesting to see who'd win.
The left hook to the body then to the head on the same side is something Haney should do more, also when he double jabbed he did good but when he just tried to come in with nothing he was getting tagged
If this was an actual boxing match devin would be the winner ,, aggression, body punches , landed the bigger shots and was initiating the actions ,,I could be wrong but that’s how I see it
He actually was the aggressor but he didn’t land more or cleaner shots shakur actually landed more cleaner combos all round it would be a draw or shakur ud most deff
Wonder if they could develop like kevlar head gear or something light and durable yet barely noticable to the figher, causw I could aee that shit being annoying aa hell, like steamed up safety glasses, always getting in the way and limiting the vision?
I would definitely say this is a 50/50 or 55/45 favoring shakur! In this sparring he landed cleaner shots and made dev miss a lot more in my opinion. Definitely a high level chess match and both fighters evolved since this but my money on Shakur.
@AyySlatt Naw, he said when he spared Devin, he always got the best of him. Then on the breakfast club he said he felt/believe (something to that extent) that he got the best in the sparring mqtch.
Not sure what y’all looking at but in sparring from experience when you keep adjusting yo headgear it’s cause you getting hit … dev let his hands go but a lot of shots didn’t land shakur was right on the money….it’ll be easy work now for sure
Beautiful. But mind that Haney was a bit physically more developed there. With Shakur’s current built, he’d dominate. He’s clearly slicker and has the better eye.
I rate it in favor of Shakur. Would be a great fight to see, but my prediction based on this is that Shakur would land more shots and win. Edit: in favor of Shakur heavily. I paid real close attention and it is clear he lands more and has way better defense.
IDK about the strength aspect but Shakur was headed to the olympics so it's expected he'd be further ahead in his development in addiyion to the 2 years age wise.
