I love your attitude - "It's my song and it's my dance". There will always be people claiming they could have done it so much better than you. But you don't see them out there building a tiny home company of their own and setting up communities for like minded people to live together in peace and harmony. Be proud, Randy. You are doing a wonderful thing with your life.
The beautiful thing is that Randy does this to help as many people as he can. He could have set up another artisan tiny home company that builds gorgeous expe$ive tiny homes and made some real coin! But he is out to help humanity, not get rich. I respect him and his values so much!

I was waiting...... I knew there would be a Part 2. Edited to add: It seems to me that lots of people who want all the high-end features running up the cost, go tiny because it's trendy. The other people go tiny because they can finally have a home they can afford. These are the people who truly appreciate Randy & his company.
The idea of a little "town square" is awesome. You could have the P.O, a coffee shop, a tiny general store and depending on how many pets are out there, maybe a tiny pet shop. Keep up he great inspiring work>

I love the idea of a town square with little shops. I am a soy candle maker and fiber artist (knitting). Man, that sound like heaven to be able to rent space in a shop that is part of my community!
That tiny is about the size of the apartment I had in Japan for 4 years. Rent was $350 per month. Totally livable, affordable housing for a bachelor. Keep up the good work.

I’m moving back to Tenn since my son is retiring from the army and my services are no longer needed…lol…actually all my girls and grandkids are in east Tenn. I want a home in the grove. I'm excited to be living in my Incredibox in Buffalo Creek when that neighborhood is ready for $300/month plus utilities. On my property in CA, I've been renting rv/travel trailer spots (BYOT=bring your own trailer) for several years now with utilities included/postage stamp yards, for $700/month. That's been considered "affordable" on the West coast for quite awhile now. My neighbors all charge plenty more than me. I "get" ITH's vision and am fully on board in supporting your company!!
I just wanted to say that Ace is a well behaved, sweet dog. I have not watched every video that he was in. I can not remember a video where he was barking at nothing.🐶 He acts more like a puppy. 😎 ...Off topic I know.

Property valuations are completely out of control and IMO the leading cause to housing becoming unaffordable. And as you said, Municipalities are really out of touch as to what an "affordable home" is.
I can visualize how pretty this community will be. I wish I could live there. The front decks are large. Your prices are amazing! I just had an estimate to replace my “front deck” 4ftx5ft with four steps…$7000 (Canadian)!!!!
Are you serious? That is so ridiculous!! Shame on them for charging that much. Their are a lot of people looking for side work. I would ask around and see if their is a retired man or a veteran would like to make extra money. Usually if you ask around and ask people if they know a good carpenter they could suggest some that is honest.

I like this version of the panel home the best. It's perfect for one or two people. The porch is a really great addition. My only issue is that I wish that the kitchen was on the end instead of on the side. That way your kitchen and livingroom area could be set up to be more separate instead of it looking like your couch is in the kitchen.
@@iknowheis Thanks. Having lived where I had a kitchen/livingroom combo, it's just nice to be able to create an imaginary wall by putting the back of your sofa facing the kitchen to give the illusion of 2 rooms. It makes it seem bigger, too.
Great opportunity for low income people. What a blessing. While they are too close together for my taste. I respect what you're doing. I would just be worried with loud TVs and such.
If there were such problems, people could surely resolve them in a civilized fashion. It's not the kind of place where you don't know or care about your neighbor.

I am wanting a new chapter in my life, I moved closer to my adult daughter after losing my husband and I have no friends here. I would love to live in a tiny house community and meet new friends and explore the area! I have a stable monthly income, it is just coming up with the payment to give Randy to get my home started is what will be the hardest in my case! I am keeping up with ITH so please say a prayer I will be able to head in that direction!

This is going to be an amazing place! Especially for those that are on a tight budget. WHERE else are they going to get a brand new nice little place to live for THAT price feeling secure and safe, and with like minded neighbors???? I've seen "Trailers" for that price that had much less space inside, placed on tiny spaces in California near where I live, with rent as much as 2 to 4 x's the price!!! AND NO free rent here!! What a deal!!!! Way to go Randy and Amanda. You are the best!!!!!! You have sooo much integrity, and have accomplished soo much! You said the magic words. Tight budget, SECURE and SAFE. Fixed income people (me) want a nice little place to be happy and thrive. A general store with basic items would be helpful. Plus a little coffee spot would give someone a little extra pocket money. I'd come for "news" tea and a pastry on my morning walk.
I think it would be cooler if every other home had their deck on the other side. It would give folks a little more privacy when they were outdoors. what if you flipped them to be every other one facing the other way?

Great Job Randy. Finally got it up and going and it is going to look so nice. Doing a half wall at the end of the deck would be a great idea to set deck furniture in front, because you will have the swing at the other end of the deck, and then the deck rails in front would look so nice. Keep it going.

Good on you for all you are doing to help people. I look forward to seeing it when it is done. I was reading the reviews and saw that some folks were complaining about responsiveness so thought I might suggest a maintenance person and phone person to handle all those calls and scheduling repairs and such. They could also be able to help do work for some of the folks who can't but can be paid by the renter. Just a thought. Keep up the good work you guys and many thanks for all you do.
