6:00 Jackie answered this question very well. A lot of people get in the mindset that the world is against them. People choose to think about every single thing they are slighted about but, in reality some of the time ducking your head and getting to work will get you farther and make you feel more accomplished. There is a time and place to discuss real issues and hindrances in life but a person who doesn't say much and chooses to get to work will always get my respect.

First time I heard English being too difficult, but then with Rap there is so many accents/slang/colloquialisms I get it.... Learning Mandarin seems like a mountain so all respect to all Foreign visitors or immigrants who figure it out and thrive with English not being a primary language. i clapped to that like finally someone said something logical lol there was like something about the oscars or something with not enough black actors being there and there was a giant complaint, and i was reacting to it like "well, erm, that just means they wasn't as good as those that got nominated for the oscars? thats how it should be but thats not how it is. there is a racial issue going. its not that "not enough blacks were nominated" look it up! Literally think population too, there are alot more white people existing in the world altogether, now think how many are in the acting scene more than other ethnic groups, yeah, there's gonna be more white people lol Coincidentally in those 2 years, there literally might have been no non-white people in good acting roles, that's it, unfortunate but it's not straight up racist lol in general there's more white than say black for example, therefore you're gonna see more white people on the big screen. Also in population as said in the beginning, if there's say example 1000 white people existing in the world and 500 black, not all of them are gonna be in acting THEN be good at it, the best at it. Like 300 out of 1000 white might be in acting, then 50 of the black, then they also have to be good at it too, so of course there's gonna be way more white people in the oscar list lol, and if it fills up the nominations list to the point it's just white people, you can't blame that on racism ffs lol Also it's not just how good the actor is but how great the movie does too in order for most critics to even view it
Race matters in every aspect of American culture to white people. Don't bullshit yourself. It's our job to continue fighting it to eventually have true equality that's not just on paper.

Sounds like Jackie is having the same trouble with Chris Tucker that Ice Cube has been having with him. Both Jackie and Ice Cube have been trying to make part 4 of their movies with Chris and he keeps giving them the run around.

I think he answered it, he basically said they don’t care really about where you come from, or who you’re, if you have talent then you can stay.. and westerners we know the entertainment industry loves to use these artist to make so much money of them to only give them like 1%.. and talent sells.. so he did answer it,.. his saying fuck all that just have talent and they’ll come to you and you can stay
It's true. Some of the talented Asian entertainers born in America can't get recognition here even though they have the English down as you would expect of someone born here, so they move to Asia where they find success that wouldn't have been possible here. Example being some K-Pop stars, like Jay Park, and the actor Daniel Wu who became a big cinema star in China/HK. With that being said, there is no definitive answer, but I like/respect how Jackie responded.
